Great stay at Luana
We had a short but great stay at the Luana. Our room was clean and well-appointed. We had a great view of the NYE fireworks from our balcony. Service was attentive and welcoming, very helpful.

Location is convenient to many attractions, staff is friendly and helpful. The unit we were in showed signs of neglect, such as torn moldy seat cushions on the patio, broken rattan wrap on the bed, dirty carpet. My chief complaint is a lack of microwave. No way to boil water. I'm a tea drinker. The coffee maker was nice for morning coffee, but not hot enough for tea. The unit had a mini fridge and a toaster oven.

Great week
Had a great trip. Valet attendants were great and on it. They were the best and offered the most help. Desk staff was friendly and the late check out for a fee came in handy as our flight was late in the evening. Will definitely stay here again.

Will definitely stay here again!
It is an older hotel but in a great location and only a couple blocks to the beach thru a park. It's not over crowded like the big hotels on the beach. The pool is great and a perfect temperature. We'll definitely will be staying here again.

It's a 2 star hotel at best
The hotel staff is friendly but service policies aren't good and hotel condition is probably suffering from years of under investment. Hotel rooms are dates (its 2 stars at best). The hotel does not provide room cleaning everyday. No wonder we had cockroaches in the room. Even after complaining three successive times about cockroaches in the kitchenette and bathroom, cleaning was not provided everyday. To be fair they did come twice and bug spray. However, with two little kids in the room, it made for a terrible experience with bug spray around. While closing the curtain, the hooks and the rod came off. It was all rusted & clearly very dated. Location is convenient but heads up, room can get really noisy since its on the main street.

there was a fire in the hotel while we were there - hotel offered nothing as we were kicked out of our room for a few hours as we were trying to check out. this led us to miss one of our tours that afternoon and messed up our entire day, and hotel didn’t even apologize. terrible handling of the entire situation.

Good rooms for long term visit…
Okay for the price. Black mold dripping down from the shower water handles was our only issue. Had dishes, excellent toaster oven, silverware and cooking dishes - was wonderful! Ask for blankets - none come with the room … just sheets. Not bad. Good location.
