"Beautiful property. Extensive breakfast. The indoor casual (non-dining) areas are part of the original palace and you can roam around freely and sit while enjoying the space. The hotel rooms are modern, well equipped and very spacious - they have a closed off balcony. There is no access to the outdoor gardens from the room. The gardens directly in the front of the palace and around the columns are accessible. There is no access to what looks like an Orangery and the areas where the fountain(?)...

"Just back from a 6 night stay at Velamar & can honestly say everything was pretty much perfect! The hotel has been designed & decorated to a very high standard-all areas immaculate! And we had the pool to ourselves some days even on the hot days. Quiet hotel with plenty of eating choices in the neighbourhood & in Olhas D,Aqua (15 minute walk away) This hotel is quite a find & we will definitely be returning! "

"Clean spacious relaxed- really excellent swimming pool very well maintained. We dined in the restaurant 3 times- the food was very good. The service professional. "Stayed May 24, for 3 nights, had a great time so booked a 4 day trip July 25. The rooms are never available before 2pm so always hectic if you want to check in then. "We really enjoyed our stay at The Aquashow Hotel. My daughter and I stayed there for 6-days. We were in Loulé for the Loulé cup that my daughter was competing in. The hotel is very clean and walking distance to the WAter park. There is a nice indoor and outdoor pool. The staff are very nice and accommodating, and the rooms are spacious. In addition, the breakfast and dinner buffet are delicious. Many great food options. We truly enjoyed our stay. "

relaxing stay , its not bad with relatively good facilties. The rooms are better than average but we did have a few ants running around the bed which is not good. Unfortunetely there is very limited places to eat locally. We felt 29 euros per buffet evening meal per person at the hotel a little too expensive, had it been slightly cheaper we would of eaten at hotel a few evenings.
