This is the first time my wife and I travelled to Taipei on our own without joining a tour. We REALLY like it for the following reasons:
1) The room was clean and spacious. It had a small balcony, and was big enough for a queen size bed with a fairly firm mattress, a two-person sofa, a small coffee table, a sofa chair with a footstool, a table with a chair, a dresser, a 3 cu feet(?) refrigerator, a large closet, a good sized bathroom with a bidet toilet, and with all these, still had plenty of space to move around!
2) Other than the amenities mentioned on its website, Sky19 also has (a) a laundry room with 2 washers, 2 dryers and detergent, free for the guests to use; (b) a spacious lounge with chairs, sofas, tables, a TV, a coffee maker, a cold/warm/hot water machine, a microwave oven, a toaster oven, a refrigerator, a cooktop, pots and pans, cups and mugs for guests to use. It even has a scale at the front desk for guests to weigh their luggage.
3) It is extremely convenient. The Taipei Main Station is just across the street, bus stops are outside the building, across the street, or on neighboring streets. Besides, there are plenty of shops, stores, eateries, and restaurants around. Two of the Taiwan museums and the 228 Park are just within 10 min walkibg distance.
In short, we are extremely pleased with our choice of Sky19 hotel. We will not hesitate to recommend this to our friends, or rent it again if we come to Taipei next time.
