Old Town
Antwerp's Old Town dazzles with medieval magic at every turn. The Gothic Cathedral of Our Lady stands tall among Renaissance guild houses and the stunning City Hall on cobblestone squares. Narrow streets lead to the legendary Diamond District where centuries-old trading traditions still sparkle. Belgian chocolate shops and traditional Flemish taverns create an atmosphere that's equal parts history lesson and sensory adventure. Boutique hotels tucked into converted guild houses offer charm with a side of authenticity. The area is best explored on foot along pedestrian-only streets, with tram lines connecting to Central Station in just 10 minutes. Most attractions open between 10:00 and 17:00, with the early morning offering the quietest, most magical experience.

Zurenborg
Zurenborg dazzles with Europe's most spectacular collection of Art Nouveau mansions along Cogels-Osylei street. Ornate facades, colourful stained glass, and intricate ironwork create an open-air architectural museum that most tourists miss. The tree-lined streets feel like stepping into a Belle Époque painting where every building tells a storey. Snap photos of the Twelve Devils Building or wander among the White Palaces for pure architectural bliss. Refined bistros and cosy cafés serve excellent Flemish cuisine throughout this upscale residential area of Antwerp. Stay in charming boutique B&Bs housed in converted historic townhouses for an authentic experience. Getting around is simple with Antwerp-Berchem Station nearby and excellent tram connections to the city centre.

South Antwerp
South Antwerp blends Jewish heritage with multicultural charm through its striking Moorish-style synagogue and speciality shops. The cobblestone streets wind past kosher bakeries with Hebrew signage and spice markets with exotic fragrances. Art lovers can explore the Royal Museum of Fine Arts and Photo Museum while soaking up the neighborhood's authentic cultural vibe away from tourist crowds. Family-run restaurants serve everything from traditional Jewish cuisine to Moroccan tagines with most places closing early in the evening. Trams connect you quickly to Central Station and the city centre while the residential streets offer perfect walkability for curious travellers. Converted townhouse B&Bs provide peaceful stays with a genuine local feel.

Historisch Centrum
Antwerp's Historic Centre dazzles with medieval charm that'll make your camera work overtime. The towering Cathedral of Our Lady stands watch over cobblestone streets where Renaissance buildings and guild houses flaunt their golden facades. Art lovers can lose themselves in the UNESCO-listed Plantin-Moretus Museum or Rubens House, while history buffs explore Steen Castle's weathered walls. Traditional Flemish taverns serve up hearty carbonnade and moules-frites between shopping adventures in diamond boutiques and chocolate shops. The pedestrian-only zones make exploring a breeze, though those cobblestones demand comfortable shoes. Boutique hotels tucked into converted historic buildings offer the perfect home base for soaking up all that old-world magic.

Antwerp and related destinations
Between cobblestone streets and diamond district glitter, Antwerp delivers Renaissance splendour alongside cutting-edge fashion. The Cathedral of Our Lady towers over Market Square, where cafés serve waffles and strong Belgian beer. Lose yourself in Rubenshuis, where the master painter's works hang in his actual home. The ultramodern Museum Aan de Stroom tells the city's storey through interactive exhibits worth the climb to its rooftop view. Fashion-forward souls worship at ModeMuseum, while book lovers marvel at the Plantin-Moretus Museum's ancient printing presses. Antwerp Zoo, one of Europe's oldest, sits conveniently next to the train station. For a break from culture, Indoor Karting Antwerpen offers high-speed thrills without the diamond district prices.

"I like the location,"
Hilton Antwerp Old Town
"Nice location"
Radisson Blu Hotel, Antwerp City Centre
"Good hotel for the price. Great location next to Antwerp Centraal Station with Metro lines outside and below the hotel. Breakfast was good with a fair variety. It has a surprising plus by having next door the Chocolate Museum (greatly recommended to visit and buy the many varieties of brands). The hotel needs to improve customer service since to enter from outside there are about six or seven steps and it is hard to get there with your heavy luggage. There is a lift (elevator) that is shared with the passengers going to the Metro Station below, which overrides the users for the hotel, but because it’s heavily used by the Metro passengers that it is quite long the wait on the street (the elevator opens to the street) There plenty of restaurants around the area with small Chinatown on the same block."
YUST Antwerp
"The place is great. Very new, clean and well maintained. Bed was good, had a curtain for a bit of privacy. There is a light however mine did not work. There is a eu c or e round outlet plus 2 usb a ports. My room had a shared toilet and shower. Personally I do not like this. The room can sleep 8 people so you could be waiting to use the facilities. I prefer the dormitory multi toilet and shower setup. The hostel is about 30 minutes walk from the town square and central station. I found the Velo Antwerp bike app great for getting around. Lovely city, well maintained. I was there Sunday until Tuesday morning. Not ideal, many shops closed Sunday and Monday most opened at 11 am and started to close at 4-5 pm. Nice working hours. Still had a great time and it’s a good time of the year to be there."

a&o Antwerpen Centraal
"The room was clean. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The location is excellent"
Moxy Antwerp
"Clean room, basic furniture, no tea and coffee making facilities. Excellent location, however no parking or even short stay bays for check in. Staff are as helpful as they can be, however very limited information offered on check in. Key cards constantly demagnetise, being kept near a phone or not, this is something you should consider as you’ll queue for a while at times to get them reactivated as single desk does check ins etc."
Hotel Jamingo
"Probably the best value for Money Paid of any hotel I've ever been in. Beautiful rooms. Meticulously maintained. Very clean. Good breakfast. Very quiet. Multiple elevators. Great staff. Have a lobby area watching the World Cup game with other guests. Provided still water dispenser in the front lobby for free."

For those in search of distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and can sometimes offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we'll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could lead to a more cost-effective option.
- Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but with Antwerp's superb public transport links, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that remains well connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value to be found.
