Nice place

Room was a bit small and wi-fi was rough, but staff was friendly and room was clean. Very central to all the sites. Good place to stay.

Easy check in. The room had an actual king bed unlike other hotel's who advertise a king but its a queen. Excellent restaurant next door with live music, great food and service.

The view from our room was lovely!

Pinnacle Suite at Sligachan Hotel

The Pinnacle Suite was amazing! Our kids had their own space and so did we! It has a cozy, modern update that makes it feel like home. Breakfast was delicious and the restaurant next door had a great dinner with extremely friendly staff (this was a great perk since most food places were closed mid October). The view from the room was also amazing!

The room was spacious and the location was lovely. It was conveniently at an across on the road where you could either go to the old man of storr or to the fairy pools.

I don’t often write reviews but feel compelled to here. After a long day of driving from Culloden, we hit the brunt of Storm Amy in the dark before we ever hit the Skye bridge. After what felt like a lifetime in 90+ mph winds we finally got to the hotel and felt like we were walking into a friends house. The staff made us feel incredibly welcome. They shuffled us over to the pub next door for a warm meal and a cold beer (the food is excellent), took our bags to our rooms for us, and checked in on us while the storm passed to make sure we were comfortable. They absolutely went above and beyond at every step. The next couple of days were incredible. Breakfast is top notch, the rooms are comfortable and spacious, and the location is amazing. We ate at the pub each night and they were some of the best meals of our trip. We will absolutely be back.

Great historical property with a great pub and gathering area!

6/10 Good

Ok. Not amazing

Tired hotel on a busy junction with a pub next door. Next to a big tourist attraction so lots of traffic in the car park so careful with kids and elderly relatives. Decent breakfast so that's a positive. They love their scented reed diffusers so everything stinks or are they covering up something?

8/10 Very good

Fancy and clean room and common areas. We really enjoyed the breakfast. The staff was very attentive and polite. The only issue we experienced was a technical problem with the electricity in our room, which suddenly stopped working and wasn’t fully repaired. Despite this, overall it was a lovely and recommendable stay.

Just an overnight stay but perfect for our needs. Kind, welcoming staff, clean comfortable room. Excellant restaurant

4/10 Fair

Hotel was quaint, clean, and staff was friendly. First issue was the suite we had booked because of the large spa tub wasn’t working. We called the front desk from our personal phone ( no phone in the suite) and they shared the water had been turned off because it leaks into the room below-the tub was prominently featured on the room photos and was a main reason for booking the suite. The second issue was due to no carpeting in the room and assuming little insulation-every time we got up to use the shower or the bathroom the room below complained we were “moving” furniture around. Our evening was interrupting several times with the staff asking if we were moving furniture around and lastly with the tenet a below coming up and being rude -asking why we were using the bathroom and moving around so much. Additionally, if you like a firm mattress the beds will suit you, if you prefer a softer mattress you may want to consider staying somewhere else. There are no elevators/lifts so if you’re staying in the Pinnacle suite, it’s hard to navigate the stairs with large luggage.

Hotel was a great location, only 15 minutes drive to Portree and the staff were incredible. It was unfortunate that the restaurant and bar closed so early and we weren’t aware ahead of arriving that the whiskey bar is not open.
