This was my first time staying at anything like a pod hotel or hostel- this felt like a hybrid of both- and it completely calmed any fears I had about shared spaces like this. My stuff was safe, it felt clean, the bed was cozy and comfortable, guests (on the all female floor) were respectful, the shared lobby space was pleasant to spend time in and the free beer hour was a nice way to chat with others staying there. I’m already talking about staying in the Tokyo location on another trip soon.

Even as a Japanese traveler, I stay here every time I visit Kyoto! Many international travelers stay here, and I really love the lively and vibrant atmosphere in the shared spaces. During the day, you can even see people using it as a shared workspace to get some work done. The staff are all so friendly and their English is fantastic. The location is also very convenient, with plenty of convenience stores and great places to eat nearby, plus a large shopping arcade close by. It’s a bit away from Kyoto Station, but I love it so much that I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Kyoto.

We canceled reservations to stay here. It is extremely convenient to get up at any hour of the day/night, have a kitchen at your disposal and not have to worry about waking anyone up. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable, and breakfast in the morning was a perfect way to start the day. I would definitely stay here again.
