Let me preface this by saying that the staff are great.
However the hotel has so many issues to bring it up to a suitable standard and the architects and designers have made many oversights
No room safe.
The Bathtub far too deep for anyone elderly or those with mobility issues. I can already see injuries will occur in these and there are no bars to help you out.
Nowhere in the room to put your suitcase.
Frosted glass door to the bathroom = lack of privacy if there are 2 people.
Bottled water is from the tap - no seal
No lighting in the open ‘cupboard’ area
Balcony is so small that it’s only good for smokers - which I am not. Not even enough room for a chair
Towel hooks are next to the toilet and the towels frequently fell off
There was no hot water out of my shower head for the 3 nights so I had to wash under the faucet.
Climbing onto the bed is ridiculous and wouldn’t work for anyone with limited mobility, however the mattress is very comfortable.
Lack of bedside tables is annoying. The little shelves down the side of the bed really don’t work.
No visible security cameras except in reception.
Door from lifts to reception opens outwards, hitting guests in the cafe.
Smoking section outside blows smoke all into the cafe.
The cafe is very good and this hotel has a lot of potential, they just need to make some changes.
The staff need a space to work on their laptops (an office) as there were 8 of them working in the cafe when I checked in.
