Malibu Beach Inn
"I loved it here. I felt like they could improve on their staff for the beach. They should wash the furniture at the end of every day to make sure it’s clean for the next days people. I also think that they should make sure that they accommodate their hotel guests to sit outside for dinner on the patio and make that a priority not just people that come in for reservations the staff by the beach that helps you set up. Your furniture does not seem real organized."
Calamigos Ranch Resort & Spa
"Perfect mix of nature & high end service / amenities. We had an amazing week end at Calamigos Ranch"
The M Malibu
"I was greeted in the office and it was a quick check-in to get my room key. Staff was friendly. My room was clean. There was a small refrigerator for me to use. I setup my computer on the desk space and was able to work from my room. Plenty of daylight and you could open the windows for a breeze of fresh air. The shades were blackout so you could get a good nights rest. Great shower, spacious bathroom. The ocean view was amazing, as were the adorable hummingbirds that played in the palm trees right outside my balcony. Loved the balcony. I didn’t use the pool but it was very clean and there were plenty of lounge chairs surrounding it to use. Parking was available. Location was walkable to grocer, etc. and to public beach access— so you can see and do plenty without a car."
Malibu Country Inn
"Great location thank you!!"

They leave you a personal note wishing you a wonderful stay and the mini bar is stocked with lots of drinks and snacks! It’s a true hidden gem and the staff was amazing! Everything about my stay was beyond my expectations and I can’t wait to go back! Thank you to Nick and his team!!"

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Malibu
- Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Malibu is in January, November, and December, when hotel prices may drop to lower prices. For those exploring the city's rich landmarks, history and culture—including its sea, beach, hiking trails, university, sunsets, scenery, winery, cafes, surfing and sports—a stay of at least 2 to 3 days offers great value for money. This budget-friendly visit provides ample opportunity to immerse oneself in the attractions on offer while enjoying an affordable break on a budget.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: When planning a trip to Malibu, you may discover attractive offers by checking the DealsOpens in a new window section on Hotels.com, where discounted rates on hotels are showcased. For more immediate travel, explore the Last-Minute Deals section to see if there are any reduced rates near your intended departure. Additionally, you could find value by using the Smart Shopping tool on the app, which compares hotel prices and amenities, helping you stay informed about changes in availability and rates. Stay alert with email alerts or push notifications to ensure you don't miss a last-minute opportunity.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may vary depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your chosen dates could help you save on your stay at a Malibu hotel. For those seeking distinctive experiences, boutique hotels might provide a more personalised setting and potentially greater value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will indicate if the price for your selected dates is above or below the average, and if the price appears higher, we may suggest more affordable dates to help you potentially find a better deal.
- Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to cost more, though Malibu's excellent public transport links mean you might discover a more affordable independent hotel further afield that remains well connected. For those wishing to explore alternative, less congested neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
