No welcome even though we made an effort to get there in office hours - office closed and just a keysafe. Poor wifi. Didnt see a member of staff at all during 2 days. Room well designed - best was the spacious balcony. Bed comfy. Good storage space. Adequate lighting. Nice bath. Having to find a bin to take our small bag of rubbish on departure seemed excessively pedantic for what is meant to be a 4 star hotel!

Old hotel, but well maintained. No elevator, and a deep jetted tub for a shower that would be difficult for someone older or anyone with mobility issues to get in and out of. The room included some basic kitchen supplies which was nice. Excellent location for exploring the town or 4 mile beach. Car park was convenient

We had a great stay at the Regal. It was very quiet during the low season so we were lucky enough to have the pool to ourselves most days. Great facilities at the pool (fridge, BBQ) and the room had everything we needed (plates, bowls and cutlery, and two bath towels each plus swimming towels for the pool/beach). Excellent location, everything in walking distance. Highly recommend!

The location of the hotel was excellent right in the middle of Port Douglas can walk everywhere. The main part of the room was quite small so it felt very cramped with our luggage. The bathroom was large, and the shower was very comfortable. The one major drawback for us was that there was a lot of scares climbing up and down to the second floor. Due to our very large and full luggage, it was very difficult climbing up and down.
