I had such a fantastic stay here! It is located in the perfect place for walkability to all historical sites and has one of the best rooftop views of the Parthenon in the city. The staff are wonderful and attentive and the rooms are spacious and clean! Definitely recommend for the full circle experience!

Absolutely loved my stay at this gem of a hotel in Athens! The owner was incredibly attentive - always available, kind, and helpful, which made a huge difference during my short trip. Great location in the heart of Plaka, close to everything and beside a lovely outdoor garden setting shared by multiple restaurants. Rooftop has a great Acropolis view. Rooms are modern and spotless. Large bathroom with walk-in shower. Very comfortable bed. Staff were very welcoming and responsive and arranged for taxi to and from the Airport. Only recommendation is to add a small cabinet to store clothes, Highly recommended!!

Great location, close to tons of restaurants, Monstriaki Square, Acropolis, everything! Hosts were super friendly, place was very cute with all amenities for coffee. I wouldn’t plan on cooking a 5 course meal, but there is a mini kitchen. And very safe neighborhood.

Amazing property in the heart of the Plaka district. Do not look any further, book the Mythodea. From the owner, to the manager and even he owners nephew, we had incredible service. Konstantinos assisted us with a driver to pick us up from the cruise port and then again for our transfer to the airport. The communication was above and beyond and the room was impeccable with a wonderful rain shower. It is close to everything with shops and restaurants right out the front door. We were in awe of the view from the rooftop terrace where we could see the Acropolis unobstructed. We spent a good portion of our evening lounging in the comfortable chairs and taking advantage of the view at night. We had only one night here but know that we will be back. When we do return, this is where we will stay. Thank you Konstantinos for the sincere kindness & hospitality!

Great boutique hotel with a fabulous host

Konstantinos was a wonderful host. He reached out to us before our arrival to check our arrival details, arranged a taxi to meet us at airport, and greeted us upon arrival. He was able to let us have our room a little early as it had been cleaned. The room itself (the Acropolis view room) was very spacious, modern, and clean. The shower was big and the toiletries very nice. The room also had a mini fridge, cooktop, kettle, coffee maker, and was stocked with dishware, cutlery, wine glasses and water glasses (and included a corkscrew!). We enjoyed bringing a bottle of wine to the rooftop and met several other travelers up there who we enjoyed chatting with. The location is great, you can walk to everything from the hotel. There are plenty of restaurants, shopping, and small grocery stores nearby. But Konstantino’s personal attention really made the hotel a gem. He checked in with us throughout our stay to see if we needed anything and was happy to give restaurant recommendations or arrange transportation. I highly recommend this boutique hotel!! Thank you Konstantinos for a great Athens stay!

3-night Stay in May 2025

We booked after reading many positive reviews. Extremely happy with our choice and highly recommend. Have already raved about it to friends planning to visit Athens. Konstantinos and his nephew Yannis were professional and super helpful before and during our stay. Provided with detailed options for getting to the location from Athens airport, even included tips for travelling by public transit. Taxi-ride about 1hr from the airport. We arrived 4hrs early and were in luck to learn we could check in early. (Expected only to leave our luggage for storing while we explored the area until check-in!) Invited to wait on the roof-top patio for short 20mins while they finished getting the room ready. Our breaths were taken away by the views of the Acropolis and Mount Lycabettus! Location was ideal. Able to walk to many of the must-see sights…4mins-20mins to Monastiraki Square, Ermou St., Syntagma Square, Acropolis and Museum, Roman Agora, etc., and a short walk to the oldest house in Athens. Room was very clean and the bed, bedding and linens were very comfortable and exuded quality. It felt vert much like a 5-star hotel. Shampoo, conditioner, body lotions provided were good quality and generously replaced when they ran low. Mini-fridge was convenient. Coffee-maker, kettle, coffee capsules and tea bags in room. No concierge or security. Boutique on ground floor. Office and rooms on 2nd-4th floors. Elevator fits 1 person & 1 large suitcase. Stairs accessible by anyone during day.

We had a great check in and an excellent stay at Mythodea Athens Suites! Konstantinos was very helpful and wonderful. He arranged our transportation from airport when we arrived and to Pireaus port when we departed. He was waiting for us and helped with everything that we need. The location was perfect, very close and walkable to all shopping, dining areas. The room was very clean. This place is highly recommended!

Excellent location! Stunning views of the Acropolis from the rooftop deck. Many restaurant choices with patio seating just steps away. Lots of shopping available along the charming streets of the Plaka district! Easily walk to historic sites. Our room was very comfortable with the convenience of a kitchenette, small table and two chairs as well as a large bathroom. The elevator was a necessary convenience. Our host arranged for taxi service to and from the hotel which was really appreciated. I highly recommend Hotel Mythodea!
