Generally the stay was very good except for the spa. Jacuzzi and swimming pool were extremely dirty (both water and surrounds), time limited to 1 hour, insufficient seating for number of people allowed in the spa and staff require a refresher course on dealing with guests politely.

Extremely clean and beautiful fresh quality bedding and towels.Lovely big room and bathroom, we had 2 superking beds which were perfect for our family. Great feel for the hotel when we arrived, staff were very welcoming. Room was ready very early for us totally unexpected but very happy to get to the room. Disappointed with the wi fi , seemed you had to pay! Only wanted to search for local amenities. Also a little disappointed with car park charges. I work in a hotel have done for five years, not charges for carpark, free WiFi etc. we have over 146 bedrooms. Overall our stay was lovely hotel was very nice, but just the small things..

Lovely hotel in easy walking distance to town centre. Very traditional but in a modern way. Room was huge with lovely bedding towels and toiletries etc although furniture was a little tired. Restaurant and bar areas was very comfy and staff provided excellent service. Spa area was good although small however changing rooms were not very clean and the lockers were in a bad state of repair. Would definitely revisit hotel.

The room was clean. The shower and bath taps were complicated and I ended up soaked! The curtain on one side of the window was hanging off on a couple of rungs . Otherwise the room was fine . Perhaps an explanation on how the cards open up the delivery of electricity would be useful as I had to call reception to say that the electricity was not working in the bathroom . At that point the receptionist explained how the cards worked . Parking was an issue as there seemed to be a conference happening . Eventually I found a space but had to pay £15 to park overnight which I had known but would have expected to have a space available!

We enjoyed our stay in the comfortable DoubleTree by Hilton Harrogate Majestic Hotel & Spa. Our room was huge, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool in the spa area and thought there was a filling spread of food at the breakfast buffet. The hotel is within an easy walk of Harrogate's historic buildings, shopping, theatre, convention centre. We were there on a busy weekend and I think the only issue we had was with the paper thin walls between the room. We could make out every word that the people next to us were saying (they were not trying to be loud) when they came in late at night, and I'm sure that they didn't enjoy our family getting ready to use the pool for 7 am. It may be quieter during the week and if so would be perfect.
