This property is located right in the heart of Hanok Village, ideal for exploring the area. You get to experience what it was like to live in a traditional Korean home during the Chosun era. Although the kitchen is shared, each room has its own restroom/shower. This place is definitely worth its cost, especially for a one-night stay. I highly recommend to any traveler looking to experience a bit of Korean culture.

The host was so accomodating in this property, he made sure that we were fully taken care of all the time. This is my first time staying in this kind of stay so I had to get used to the hard bedding since its pretty much just a blanket on the wooden floor, but that is all a part of the experience. I would say the whole property is beautiful in design, the area is beautiful and great, and I really loved my stay here at Hanok Goeul.

Wonderful Traditional Hanok Experience

A great experience for my first hanok stay. I knew not to expect a typical hotel experience and came with an open mind for a traditional hanok experience. The hanok grounds were beautiful and the hanok is located very close to Hanok Village and the main streets where there is plenty to see and eat. The management was hospitable and made sure to check in to see if I needed anything throughout my stay. I was also given great food recommendations to try while I was in Jeonju. Overall, I enjoyed my stay a lot.

This was a different kind of stay for us. Room is tiny and you sleep on a heated floor. My husband has a bad back so I asked for padding. The manager not only gave me padding but sat with us to explain the rules of the hotel and went over a map of the village and where to go sightseeing, food and drinks. The bathroom was a challenge because the toilet and shower are in the same room and I feel like everything gets wet.However it's how most bathrooms are in korea. They also do not give full size towels its only a hand towel. I didnt mind this because it was a different experience. I gave a 5 star because overall it was beautiful, in the village, great staff and we were warm and comfortable. I do recommend to give this place a try.

Bellissimi soggiornare in un vero Hanok nel cuore della cittร  di Jenju! L'accoglienza รจ stata perfetta, anche se l'host non parlava inglese con un traduttore vocale si รจ adoperato per darci una infinitร  di consigli e suggerimenti sul modo migliore di spendere il nostro tempo in questo piccolo villaggio molto caratteristico. Ho abbassato solo di un poco la valutazione per 2 motivi: 1) benchรฉ il check fosse previsto dalle 15:00 - e il nostro arrivo era confermato a quell'ora perchรฉ siamo passati per lasciare le valigie alle 10:00 - abbiamo trovato la camera fredda perchรฉ il riscaldamento non era stato acceso prima. 2) la cucina รจ disponibile per preparare la colazione o un pasto caldo ma non รจ possibile consumare cibi e bevande nรฉ in cucina nรฉ in camera ma l'unica possibilitร  รจ fuori all'esterno... bellissimo in primavera o quando c'รจ bel tempo, un problema quando ci sono 30 centimetri di neve sopra il tavolo e le panchine con la temperatura esterna a -5 ยฐC come nel nostro caso, oppure quando piove o quando sono +40 ยฐC d'estate... Consiglio di aggiungere uno spazio coperto e chiuso adiacente alla cucina, ne guadagnerebbe molto l'accoglienza offerta dall'Hanok Goeul!
