Learn more about Bora Bora
Floating in a lagoon so blue it seems digitally enhanced, this island paradise offers overwater bungalows where you can watch fish through glass floor panels. Mount Otemanu's jagged peak dominates every view, looking particularly magical at sunset. Matira Beach presents the perfect white sand and shallow waters that travel brochures promise but rarely deliver. Snorkelling reveals an underwater carnival of tropical fish, rays, and yes, even sharks - though the latter keep a respectful distance during guided tours. The main town of Vaitape offers local crafts and black pearl shops worth browsing. For the ultimate splurge, book a private motu picnic where staff disappear after delivering a gourmet lunch, leaving you alone on your temporary private island.

Hotel Royal Bora Bora
"We had a wonderful stay at Royal Bora Bora and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting the island. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore Bora Bora and enjoy everything the island has to offer. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and perfect for relaxing after a day of adventures. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always available to help with recommendations, transportation, and organizing tours. Their hospitality really made our stay even more enjoyable. One of the best parts of our stay was renting bicycles directly from the hotel. It was a fantastic way to discover the island at our own pace, stopping at beautiful beaches and viewpoints along the way. Royal Bora Bora offers excellent value for money, combining a great location, comfortable rooms, outstanding service, and a relaxed tropical atmosphere. We had an amazing time and would definitely choose this hotel again on our next visit to Bora Bora!"
InterContinental Bora Bora Le Moana Resort by IHG
"Our stay at InterContinental Le Moana Bora Bora was an absolute dream and without a doubt one of the most unforgettable experiences of our lives. Spending the night in an overwater bungalow at the very end of the pontoon felt like living in paradise. Waking up surrounded by the turquoise lagoon, with nothing but crystal-clear water and breathtaking views all around us, was simply magical. Everything was perfect. The bungalow was beautiful, spacious, luxurious, and equipped with every comfort imaginable. Every detail made us feel like we were experiencing something truly special. The staff were exceptional—warm, attentive, and incredibly professional. The level of service was outstanding, and every request was handled with genuine kindness and a smile. Breakfast was delicious, with an amazing selection and an unforgettable view over the lagoon. Even the Wi-Fi was excellent and worked perfectly everywhere, including out on the overwater bungalow. This is much more than a hotel stay—it's a dream come true. Every moment felt magical, and every sunset reminded us why Bora Bora is considered one of the most beautiful places on Earth. It is absolutely worth the journey and every euro spent. If you're looking for a once-in-a-lifetime experience, InterContinental Le Moana Bora Bora will exceed every expectation. We truly hope to come back one day."

"What an incredibly unique, memorable stay in Bora Bora. If you want to avoid the crazy costs of an overwater bungalow but you still want a magical stay at a more affordable price, this is the place. My wife and I booked the Garden Villa Suite for four nights and loved it. The property owners are so accommodating and friendly (rides to/from numerous places including pick-up at the village port, always checking on us, able to book excursions for you, provided us with a complimentary bottle of rum as a welcome gift, etc.). The villa itself is the ultimate blend of indoor/outdoor living, with covered kitchen and bathroom/shower areas outdoors and your overside bedroom and sitting room indoors with a super cold AC unit. Had use of property bicycles, which we used one day to pedal the entire loop of the main island (almost 3 hours but a pretty easy, mostly flat road) and another day to go to the public beach on the south side of the island very near the property. The property/room decor, photos on walls, and prideful touches are like a time capsule to past centuries of navigators and explorers across the South Pacific and other parts of the world. There is a steep walk up a hill to reach the property from the main road if you're not driving or receiving a ride, but we were fine with the moderate exercise and didn't find it too difficult. There are also pesky mosquitos which you'd expect on any island -- a small price to pay for a stay we'll remember. Would definitely return."
Village Temanuata
"I wanted to keep this place a secret just for myself. It's the best place in Bora Bora. On the beach next to the Intercontinental Hotel, with kitchen and a minimart across the street. Also the most happening restaurant next door plus rental car and scooter walking distance. Marita beach is the best spot in Bora Bora, and this hotel is the best priced"
Villa Yrondi
"The Villa is an artists vision. A live in artist who has built a villa that blends art , community and the environment that blends into everyday. Valerie was so wonderful, helpful, accomodating and kind. The staff are friendly and the breakfasts are so scrumptious. We loved our days here and could have stayed longer. Well worth it!"
Bora Bora Holiday's Lodge and Villa
"Our stay at Bora Bora Holidays was absolutely amazing. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home throughout our stay. The hotel was worth every dollar spent, and my wife and I enjoyed some of the most beautiful sunsets we’ve seen in a long time right from the beach. If you’re looking for a relaxing, authentic Polynesian experience, this is the place to stay. Highly recommended! 🌅🏝️❤️"

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Bora Bora
- Book for the cheapest times: Bora Bora is most affordable on a budget during January to March, when hotel prices might drop to lower prices. A stay of at least 4 to 5 days is ideal for exploring the island's key attractions, including significant landmarks, historical sites, and cultural experiences such as relaxing beach visits, island tours, and scenic spots. This period offers great value for money and is perfect for those looking for a budget-friendly escape.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: Hotels.com offers a variety of options to help you save on a trip to Bora Bora. Start by checking the DealsOpens in a new window section, where you may discover special offers, or browse the Last-Minute Deals section for opportunities close to your travel date. Additionally, you could set up email alerts and push notifications to stay informed about flash sales. Using the Smart Shopping tool via the app, you're more likely to see a comparison of hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you can act quickly when a favourable deal appears.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may vary depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates could help you save on your stay in a Bora Bora hotel. For those seeking unique accommodations, boutique hotels may offer a more personalised experience and sometimes better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will indicate if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average, and if it appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest more affordable dates to help you find a better deal.
- Consider your location: Hotels near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive; however, thanks to Bora Bora's excellent public transport connections, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that remains well-connected. For those interested in exploring alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often great value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
