Traditional ryokan, great hospitality
Traditional ryokan with futons and a sunken dining area, where you have to remove your shoes once you enter the ryokan (much like what you do when you visit any home in the far east). However, it still has a modern private bathroom and toilet for creature comfort. Most of all, the hosts showed great hospitality and attention to detail when it comes to service. Only negative aspect is that the region isn't very touristy (for those looking for a place to stay with nearby attractions). However, will still gladly recommend this place to all who intend to explore places of interest to the east of Lake Biwa.
