"The hotel is a older establishment but has been kept well. The staff are amazing and nothing was to much trouble. The pool is not huge but does the trick. There is a swim up pool bar, which has 2 happy hours per day. The ocean is on your door step, for snorkeling. There is no beach as such. If you want good value this is your place. Bonus no kids "

"Our check in started off a bit rocky, and so I expressed that on Expedia. Within about 2 hours of our check in we received a call from Mama Loa. She asked if she could meet with me to discuss. We agreed to meet with her and she was very attentive took notes and said she would share the information gathered with her team. Mama Loa is very passionate about her work and is an absolute professional! Great asset for this resort. After our conversation with her we were very pleased that we had chosen to stay here.Over the next few days, any time she would see us, she made the time to come and visit for a minute and make sure everything was going well for us. I cannot say enough good things about her. One other employee that I feel deserves special recognition is a young woman named Daisy. She performed so many different jobs at the resort it seemed like she was everywhere. She helped us out on several occasions. Lastly I would like to comment on the breakfast buffet. We could not have been happier with the selection of food items and the freshness of all the items being served. My favorite was the egg station, the young men working there were quick to produce your special requests!"

The Cooks Oasis

The Cooks Oasis

10/10 Excellent
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cooks Oasis! Although the resort is a bit difficult to find, due to signage at the street having been removed, we loved the location. We checked in on a Sunday which meant the staff was not working. No problem, they got the room ready and left us a note on their reader board as to how to access our Villa. This resort is not on the beach, but the walk down the shared driveway is very short and the beach is amazing. If you feel like doing a longer walk, it is only about 8 or 9 minute walk down the beach to Black Rock. We would absolutely stay here again if we return to Rarotonga. Our favorite local hangout was around a five or 6 minute drive from Cooks Oasis. If you have the chance visit the "Shipwreck Hut" beach bar. Good food and drinks. All of the staff were incredibly friendly. The view from the bar area is spectacular."
