An excellent choice in an accessible location
Clean, comfortable hotel with a very friendly staff! Pajamas in each room which were comfortable, too! Some elements of the hotel room were a bit older but everything worked and the temperature was perfect. Breakfast is offered but I did not partake. I would certainly stay here again.

No frills, comfortable accomodation
The hotel is about a ten minute walk from Nagano station, and is a decent, no-frills stopover while traveling from Tokyo to the ski slopes or other tourist attractions near Nagano. The hotel staff was very courteous and the hotel was an overall good value. Onsens are even available on both the men's and women's floors.

Great location, relaxing stay
Great location just a few minutes from the train station and a pleasant walk to Zenkoji temple. Lovely spa facilities (separate male and female) for a relax after a day out in the cold (we travelled in February). Friendly staff and a nice Japanese snack package as a gift on arrival!

Excellent budget hotel.
This is a great budget hotel within a few minutes walk of anything in downtown Nagano. We stayed here two nights to see the snow monkeys and visit the main drag in Nagano that ends at the 6th century Buddhist temple.

Nice hotel!
A little dated, but very clean and in good condition. Extremely polite staff. Parking is a couple blocks away, which seems to generally be par for Japan. About 45-1 hour away from slopes, next to lots of attractions. Quiet.

Book a twin room here if you are a couple
Like many Japanese hotels rooms are small. If you are travelling as a couple then book ahead requesting a twin room, as fitting in two beds generally means a bigger room. But staff here obliging and helpful. Well located to station and easy walking to shopping, eating and visiting options.

One-night stay in Nagano
The hotel was OK. It was a short walk from the train station. There are lots of restaurants around the train station so the location is fine. It is around a 15 minute walk to the Zenko-Ji temple. The breakfast room was big, so there was plenty of room to spread out. The breakfast was pretty standard for Japan: not bad but nothing extraordinary. The room itself was small and quite non-descript. For the price, it was reasonable value.

Nice hotel
Staff was really helpful and professional. About 10mins walk from main Nagano station, and there is also a local train stop right next to the hotel itself.
Clean tidy room but bed for two was smaller than expected.

Good Location
Great location and friendly staff. Room was nice enough, common areas where not as nice/clean. I'd go back.
