The perfect stay for our first visit to Colombia. Great location and super friendly staff (shout out to Frank). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are glad we picked this hotel to start off our trip. Casa Carolina is a beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Cartagena’s Old City. The location is unbeatable—you can walk everywhere and never need an Uber. With only 15 rooms, it feels like staying in a private home, and the pool is gorgeous. The staff and service were amazing—truly one of the highlights of our stay. A few things to note: the wellness-style menu is healthy but doesn’t offer many snack options. Street performers outside (especially drummers) can be very loud at night, though they’re usually gone by 11 PM. At checkout, they asked for a 10% tip on the entire stay, which felt a little uncomfortable—we only tipped on food and beverage. Overall, the pros far outweigh the cons. We would definitely stay again for the location, the charm, and the incredible staff.

I loved staying at Casa Carolina!! We stayed in a corner balcony suite just a cross street from Plaza de la Proclamacion. We had a nice view for enjoying the daily afternoon dance group show. The city view from the rooftop was also a great amenity in addition tho the pool and bar. I had a relaxing massage with a complementary matcha latte from the coffe bar. I had a great weekend with my family there and I just wished there was a gym facility to make the most of a wellness weekend.
