Booked this as an "entire apartment" on Hotels.com, but it turned out to be a private bedroom in a home shared with multiple strangers, with common spaces shared between guests. Future travelers should know this going in, especially anyone expecting the privacy of a full apartment.
A few issues worth flagging for others considering this stay:
The bedroom door locks, but anyone with a key or code can enter at any time, and there's no interior deadbolt or privacy lock you can engage from inside. In a home shared with strangers, that's a real safety gap. The doors themselves are also quite thin, which compounds the safety concern.
The bathroom hadn't been cleaned before check-in. There was hair on the counter, in the tub, and on the floor, plus splashed water across surfaces.
The bedroom temperature also can't be controlled independently and ran significantly hotter than the rest of the house, making it uncomfortable to sleep in.
I'd encourage the host and Hotels.com to revisit how this property is listed and to address the lock and cleaning issues so future guests feel safe and comfortable.
