Learn more about Tamarindo
Catch perfect waves on Tamarindo Beach where surfers of all levels ride alongside locals who've mastered these Pacific swells for generations. After conquering the ocean, watch leatherback turtles nest at nearby Marino Las Baulas National Park during their seasonal migration. The beachfront promenade buzzes with open-air restaurants serving fresh ceviche and tropical cocktails as the sun sets. Book a catamaran cruise to spot dolphins playing in the golden afternoon light. Beyond surfing, try zip-lining through the rainforest canopy or horseback riding along Grande Beach's pristine shoreline. Despite its popularity, quiet corners still exist – ask about Playa Langosta for a more secluded stretch of sand away from the main tourist flow.

Refugio Lodge
"Could not be happier! Augustin the manager and his staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. All my pain in the butt needs were taken care of promptly with a smile. Also shoutout to Eduardo my breakfast server. My room was super clean and convenient. Will definitely come back!"
Ocho Artisan Bungalows - Adults only
"Top to bottom, we had a great experience. The grounds are beautiful, the bungalows are unique, spacious and very comfortable. The staff is probably the best part, from the wait staff, bar tenders to the office staff. Shout-out to Ilse, Giovanni and Ever as they made our stay a great experience. We can't say enough about their kindness and williness to help make our stay a great experience. The food was also delicious. I can't think of anything I had that I didn't enjoy. Top 10 experience."
Hotel Tamarindo Diria Beach Resort
"Wonderful service and property"
Hotel Mar Rey
"I loved my stay at Hotel Mar Rey! The location was very convenient and everything was close distance. The only downside is that since it’s right in the center of Tamarindo, it can get pretty noisy, especially at night. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay!"
Jardín del Edén Boutique Hotel - Adults Only
"Food was amazing hiding boutique small and intimate but beautiful this is basically Hawaii but much more jungle and I loved it especially monkeys swing by"
Hotel Arco Iris
"Superbe hôtel dans un coin calme, avec toutes les commodités. Les chambres sont grandes, propres et très confortables. L’hôtel est à une courte distance de l’animation et de la plage. Un super endroit!"
Wyndham Tamarindo
"Aire acondicionado no muy bueno"
Hotel La Palapa
"A very unique hotel with instant access to private and public beach. However, the mirror in our room seemed to have mold on it, so that was not pleasant at all. Otherwise it's not a bad place to sleep after a day of activities."
In the Shade Hotel - Coworking - Adults Only
"Very clean and modern facility. Excellent staff. Sandra seemed to appear almost instantly anytime we needed anything. The only complaint was the road to get to the property. It is unpaved and if you enter from one end it is deeply rutted, and washed away. The other end of the street was much less difficult to navigate, but still had a very large pothole. I doubt this is something that can or will be fixed anytime soon. It is what you learn to expect in Costa Rica. Bottom line, we would most certainly stay there again."
