4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Venice
- Book for the cheapest times: Visiting Venice on a budget is a delightful experience, especially during January, February, and November when hotel prices may drop to lower prices. For travellers keen to explore its rich heritage, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is ideal to enjoy the city's key landmarks, historical sites, and cultural attractions, such as its renowned cathedrals, museums, charming churches, monuments, art galleries, and even budget-friendly boating experiences. This period offers great value for money and is an affordable opportunity to immerse oneself in the historical and architectural splendour of Venice.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: You may discover attractive deals for Venice hotels by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window section on Hotels.com. If you book at the last minute, you could find enticing offers in the Last-Minute Deals section, which may present discounted rates near your travel date. Furthermore, the Smart Shopping tool available via the app helps travellers compare hotel prices and amenities, keeping you updated on any changes in availability, so you’re more likely to secure a last-minute getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may vary depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and time of year. Being flexible with your dates may help you save on your stay in Venice. For those seeking distinctive experiences, boutique hotels might provide a more personalised touch and occasionally offer better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will indicate if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average and, if it appears higher, we may suggest alternative dates that could help you find a more appealing option.
- Consider your location: Remaining closer to key attractions or city centres can offer convenience but usually tends to come with higher costs. For more affordable rates, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, balancing price with ease of access to the places you plan to visit. You might explore independent hotels further afield, which can provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
