Future Inns Cardiff Bay

Future Inns Cardiff Bay

10/10 Excellent
"Very spacious sized family room, named future inn but all fitments looks outdated, a renovation may needed i suppose. Ensuite designed separate the toilet room and bathroom with a suitable door, which is a good idea, however the toilet is smells of strong urine, and it never went away during our 2 nights stay, the smells is all soaked in. As I said it needs some renovation, particularly the toilet. Or maybe need a very deep cleaning of the ensuite with strong bleaching etc. Air-conditioning is very powerful, family room with 2 queen size beds and still has plenty spaces left for personal belongings, the location is perfect only short walk to the bay. A loads of parking spaces as well, staffs do taken my card details for pre-authorization while checking though. Overall I still count it valued for my stay, yet the ensuite room really some workout with the horrible urine smells."

The Angel Hotel

The Angel Hotel

8/10 Good
"Hotel is in a great central location opposite Cardiff castle with easy access to the train station. On arrival the receptionist was excellent made us feel really welcome and the free room upgrade to a suite was a lovely experience. Hotel foyer looks great and a real wow first impression. We stayed in room 136. The room had all the amenities you could need however the rooms a very tired looking. Lots of sinks and marks in the walls, very old yellow stained sockets and plugs made charging phones a challenge with no usb outlets, thankfully the tv had one to use. Bathroom had all the bits you expected, bath was a bit on the small side and the shower was very powerful which was great however made it a challenge for the water to drain quickly enough so you were ankle deep in water by the end of the shower. The mattress for us personally was a little soft and not that premium feel you get from chain hotels but did the job and we had a pleasant sleep overall. Carpet could have done with a good hoover, crumbs where visible in several areas, paying for early check in you would have assumed these details would have been checked, it did not detract from the stay just some feedback ongoing. Overall we would stay here again as the benefits very much outweigh the negatives."

"Hotel parking is a pain to find unless you know the area! Clean tidy hotel , room was nice and clean plenty of room , superior king mind Toilet was in a stupid position , too close to the shower screen so couldn’t sit properly and had to sit sideways Close to everything you need for a night out Breakfast buffet Was it worth the price …maybe not but you won’t go hungry it’s a standard buffet breakfast loads of options but spoons is walking distance or bills opposite for better quality Parking 18.00 so not too bad and secure Probably on the more expensive side for my liking but for location I see why"

"Lovely superior room with doors to the courtyard, only down side was no chairs by the doors so couldn't seat out. Went to the bar, waited 20 minutes for a member of staff to appear. He appeared with his young son (about 6 years old). The normal drinks dispenser was intermittent so couldn't have the drink of my choice and he didn't seem to care. So we left the bar. Evening meal at the restaurant was lovely although there was only 1 waitress. She couldn't do enough for us but was singularly seating and serving 6 tables. Breakfast was nice. Cooked was fresh and regularly replenished."

"We loved the spacious rooms. Free bottle of water was a nice gesture. The rooms are nice and quiet - beds and pillows very comfortable. Bathrooms could possibly benefit from some updates - looking a little tired. Breakfast was good value for money - plenty of choice and nice food. Bar area is lovely - great wine list! All the staff we encountered during our stay were friendly and super helpful. Highly recommend a stay here"

This budget-friendly duration allows visitors to enjoy attractions such as castles, scenic mountains, and local theatre performances, all while experiencing the warm hospitality of the friendly townspeople. With prices potentially dropping during these months, it's a great value for money for anyone on a budget.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: For your Bridgend escape, start by exploring Hotels.com's DealsOpens in a new window and Last-Minute Deals sections to discover potential savings on local hotels. You may discover attractive offers on some of the best Bridgend hotel stays if rooms become available close to your travel date. Additionally, you’re more likely to see flash sales and special promotions by enabling email alerts or push notifications. With the Smart Shopping tool available via the app, you can compare hotel prices and amenities to make an informed decision for your last-minute getaway.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate due to various factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates could help you find a more affordable stay in a Bridgend hotel. For those in search of something distinctive, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and could potentially offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could lead to a more favourable rate.
  4. Consider your location: Remaining closer to major attractions or city centres might offer greater convenience, though it usually tends to be more expensive. For more affordable options, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between cost and accessibility to your planned destinations. You might also explore independent hotels further afield, which can provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
