It was the worst stay over that I have ever had. Not just dirty, absolutely disgusting. Slept with my clothes on just in case. I’m so disappointed with for this place to be on their site!

Shower was poor, no temperature control and was too hot. Bathroom a little grubby with mould around the bath tub. Not enough plug sockets in the room.

Royal Oak - Dirty Mouldy Unhealthy in Bromborough
We had pre booked two rooms at the Royal Oak so we could meet my daughter with new grandson who we were meeting for the first time. We live in Spain. We finally arrived and after telling the reception staff that we needed somewhere close to the entrance as we had heavy load to carry including baby items they give us two rooms that were the farthest away. Even though we were weary from travels and arrived around 5pm we did not make a fuss, jubilant that we had met our grandson, 4months old. Eventually got our belongings into the rooms then went to dinner at the Hungry Horse pub which are part of the Premiere Inn. When we got back to the rooms the nightmare suddenly appeared - both rooms were filthy, mould everywhere, ceilings, corner of rooms carpets and even within the pleats of out curtains. One of the rooms that the baby was sleeping in had a cot, needless to say we did not touch that with a barge pole. We wondered even if it was safe for out 4 month old baby grandson so I took a few photos with my smartphone and went to reception to complain. I explained the situation and asked if they would like to visit the rooms to see what I was talking about as we did not feel very safe. The receptionist declined the offer and handed me a card telling me to complain to the address on it - Premiere Inn Guest Relations at Luton. That was as far as I got, no exchange rooms, apologies, nothing. Very matter of fact I thought.
