"Location is great for the train station across the road but a fair walk into town.
The staff were lovely.
The pool and lounge bar are an incentive to spend time in the hotel especially in inclement weather"
"The room was clean and well maintained and the staff were friendly and helpful both during our stay and in communications before. The hotel was quite busy which made for a strange breakfast situation where many people were eating their breakfast in the lobby. I didn't much enjoy eating my breakfast in front of the lift, but the food was good. We had a twin room and unfortunately I did not get on well with my bed. In fact I can't remember a more uncomfortable bed in any hotel I've stayed in. The other bed was not as bad, but I ended up sleeping on top of the duvet, folded over twice, which much improved it. Nice and quiet in the room and with excellent blackout curtains."
"The rooms were comfy but fairly small - bathroom was fairly basic no space to put a bath bag.
We were charged £15/day for parking which I think is a bit steep when you have already paid for a room, its not v welcoming when you arrive.
The spa facilities were excellent, probably the best in the area.
Room service food (after 9pm) was pretty poor. lukewarm soup, stale sandwich. breakfast was fairly good though."
"Was good for the price but there’s never a receptionist and you have to call a phone number for them to come from their room, you get what you pay for though."
"Very nice friendly staff in a great location. Parking which is chargeable on site.
Rooms were nice and spacious could just do with a fresh up and a deep clean, eye level was clean and so we're the beds it was just a little cobwebby and windows could do with a lick of paint."
"We had a weekend away and enjoyed our room with a sea view. Breakfast was plentiful with a good choice. Parking was difficult one night as they had a private function on who took all of the spaces. Staff were always helpful and we would stay again."
TLH Derwent Hotel - TLH Leisure, Entertainment and Spa Resort
10/10 Excellent
"My son and I stayed at this hotel for a weekend break. The facilities were good, and the property was only a short walk from the beach and local amenities. My son loved the breakfast, and our room was clean and tidy."
"Everything about the Hudson was excellent, fantastic location, superb breakfast, spotlessly clean and excellent staff, will definitely be returning soon."
