A lot of the rooms have no access to fresh air or proper airflow, which makes them extremely stuffy and hot.
I had to sleep with the door open onto the hallway just to get some airflow. I spoke to reception at around 2am to ask if they had a fan, but unfortunately they had nothing available. At one point, I seriously considered leaving, which was a real shame because everything else about the hotel was excellent.
The fact that the room had no airflow or access to fresh air completely ruined the experience. What made it more frustrating was that it wasn’t even particularly hot outside — it was around 16°C — yet the room felt like a stale oven.
I also spoke to several other guests at breakfast, and they were all experiencing the same issue. This clearly seems to be a wider problem with the rooms rather than an isolated issue.
I would still recommend the hotel for the food, and the staff at the bar and restaurant could not have been more helpful or welcoming. However, the rooms really need to be addressed. Without proper ventilation or airflow, they are simply not comfortable to sleep in.
