Allobroges Park Hotel

Allobroges Park Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"The hotel manager and front desk representative were extremely helpful to us in resolving an issue related to our reservation. The hotel is located just down the street from the train station, in the old town. This was very convenient for us, as we did not rent a car. The hotel rooms are air conditioned. For the most part it was comfortable, but it did get warm while we were trying to sleep and I think it’s because of the comforter that is used. All over in France in the beds, instead of having a top sheet and a blanket or comforter, there is only a bottom sheet and a comforter. Having the ability to only cover with a top sheet is great when the weather is hot. We bought the breakfast for 14€ daily, and it is a good value. The breakfast had a wide variety and get selection of fruit and cheese. There is also the ability to boil eggs, which was an added bonus. Based on our experience we would stay here again, and highly recommend it."

8/10 Good
"Our room was good for four people with the exception that the upper floor was quite hot and the air conditioning was capped so that it would not go below 21 degrees C. So even though they advertised air conditioning the room never went below room temperature on the lower floor while the upper floor remained a few degrees warmer. The staff did provide a fan which helped. The metal stairs going to the upper floor were also in an odd location causing my partner to injure his head on them while attempting to make coffee. It seems the layout of the room could have been better. Also, they only provided two coffee pods for four people for the in room coffee maker which seemed a bit stingy. They do provide a water station outside the rooms with water bottles that can be filled which was a nice perk. The bakery downstairs was incredibly convenient to grab a bite for lunch and breakfast and also for morning coffee and drinks. The prices were good at the bakery."

L’Arveyron Open House

L’Arveyron Open House

8/10 Good
"A really sweet little ski chalet on the edge of Chamonix. We stayed two nights in July, taking a family room for two adults and two teenagers. The hotel was charming but a little basic: the rooms were quite small and the beds were OK but not great. it was perfectly fine for a two day stop-over but I'm glad we weren't there for a long holiday - it was good to get to a more comfortable bed at our next stop. It's also worth noting there's no air conditioning. In the winter in the mountains, this wouldn't be a problem, but it was 30 degrees when we were there and it was pretty hot in the room at night. The only real downsie is the location. It's on the edge of the twon, which made it very peaceful, but it was too far to walk to the centre of Chamonix and parking in the town centre is tricky. We loved Chamonix and definitely want to visit again, but next time we will stay nearer the town centre"

For a satisfying exploration of its landmarks, history, and cultural attractions—including mountains, ski areas, small towns, scenic vistas, entertainment options, friendly locals, family-friendly spots, and dining establishments—staying for at least 3 to 4 days is great value for money.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals for hotels in Cordon, begin by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted rates as your travel date approaches. To stay updated on flash sales and exclusive promotions, consider enabling email alerts or push notifications. Additionally, the Smart Shopping feature within the Hotels.com app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, increasing your chances of securing a great deal. By utilising these tools, you could be among the first to know about any price drops or newly available rooms for your last-minute getaway.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate depending on various factors, including the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, having some flexibility with your travel dates could help you find a more economical option for your stay at a hotel in Cordon. For those in search of distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and may offer better value. When you make a reservation through Hotels.com, we'll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could help you find a more favourable deal.
  4. Consider your location: Choosing accommodation nearer to key attractions or city centres may provide convenience, but it often tends to come with higher costs. For more affordable options, you might consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between price and accessibility to the sites you wish to visit. Exploring independent hotels located further out can offer a more authentic and potentially budget-friendly experience.
