We feel that the description of the room as a superior double was misleading, the decoration and furniture was shabby and beds were 2 singles. Staff we met only spoke Spanish, not English as advertised. At the time of our visit air conditioning was not available even though temperatures were mid to high 20's. Location was really good, close to Metro, walking distance to Gran Via, Sol and Plaza Mayor.

The hotel was a bit difficult to find due to a lack of signage on the outside. Once inside we could not easily locate which floor we had to go to. The room was tired but clean and having a balcony was great. The location more than made up for that. Really, one could not have asked for a better location. One minor drawback, nobody could speak a word of English. Google translate helped.

Great Location, cannot get any more central. many attractions at easy walking distance, metro stations very close. Food, shopping, buzz all around. The lady, Margarita, if I remember her name correctly is a darling. she is courteous, helpful and always smiling. Would absolutely recommend the place to anyone going to Madrid for a few days, especially for the first time. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

This was a fairly basic hotel, with perfectly adequate facilities, smack in the middle of Madrid, up a busy lane near a main square. No frills and largely left to get on with it. Luckily, I was towards the rear, away from the street noise.
