"My stay at the Garden Hotel was excellent. No complaints, I stayed here for the canton fair. My only complaint was that it was a bit far from the fair, but they do offer a complementary shuttle and have a registration counter on the fourth floor to collect your badge. The hotel lobby is massive and the garden/waterfall is very nice. The hotel is kind of geared towards Muslim tourists, so there is no pork options for breakfast. The breakfast buffet is pretty loaded with options. There’s a lot to try including fresh coffee and croissants. However, I wasn’t a fan of the beef bacon and sausage. The rooms are very nice and kept clean, they have a luxurious and modern feel. Their staff are all very friendly and accommodating! I would recommend staying there to a friend for sure. There’s a lot within walking distance and many of the main shopping markets are pretty close by."

"The hotel enjoys an excellent location, which is certainly one of its main highlights. However, the rooms would benefit greatly from a renovation, as they feel rather dated, particularly the bathrooms. For a five-star hotel, the overall room condition falls short of the standard one would expect. Additionally, the hotel may wish to reconsider its child breakfast policy. Using height rather than age to determine breakfast charges seems unconventional and differs from the practice adopted by most hotels in China. A more age-based policy would be fairer and more in line with common industry practices. Overall, while the location is excellent, improvements to the room facilities and a review of the breakfast policy would help bring the guest experience more in line with five-star expectations."
