Location was great for my work which was in downtown Ottawa. The room/studio with the full kitchen was excellent. The only thing perhaps was that the washroom was small and one needed to run the shower for a minute or two for the water temperature to stabilize. Staff was friendly and helpful.

I would give this stay 6-7/10. First, Sonder has an online system for checking in. However, they will not allow early check in even if the room is ready early on the day of your stay, unless you pay extra. Second, our room smelled like cigarette smoke. We tried to ask a staff member to see if they could re-clean, but the cleaning staff do not speak English (in Ottawa). We were also told the hotel was fully booked for that night, and that smoke is quite common as it is an old building. I woke up with a severely irritated throat from the smoke. I will however give credit to one of the very friendly staff who arranged for another room for our second and third nights, which was excellent and smelled very clean. Aside from smoke, the property is very well maintained and rooms/apartments are very spacious, and feel quite homey.
