ORIDA Maidstone Hotel
"Overall good value for money. Plenty of car parking which we got for free as delay in gettinf our room ready otherwise £6. Spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Decent breakfast options. Crowded pool and pool a bit cold. Gym a bit small but has most equipment. Bathrooms need updating."
The Inn on the Lake Hotel
"Generally our experience was good. Getting there was fairly easy. Check in went smooth, the view from room over the lake was beautifull.we slept well.Food was good, we had breakfast only.Waiting time for an English breakfast seemed bit long and portion size could be bit bigger.Staff was kind and friendly. We stayed there for 1 night only. My only complain is first impression when we entered our room there were big stains on a carpet, which made us uncomfortable and want to leave immediately. On the drain in shower there was still bit of hairs.Carpets in a hallway are worn off as well. Taken away cleanliness issue it is a good value for the money and a lovely set up over the lake."
Delta Hotels by Marriott Colchester
"Have stayed at many hotel from travel lodge to grand hotels and this was one of my favourite, beautiful places, great staff brilliant food and service"
St Nicholas Hotel
"We stayed at the St Nicholas, for a gig at the Castle, which is part of the George over the road where reception, bar, restaurant etc are. Location couldn’t be better. Room was fairly standard, but very clean. A bit noisy as fronted onto the High St but didn’t interrupt our sleep. The George is an old coaching inn and a beautiful building. The staff were all extremely friendly, the bar we used at the end of our night out was full of character and the breakfast served the next morning was excellent."
Spring River Ebbsfleet by Marston's Inns
"All good great staff and all"
King Charles Hotel
"Hotel and room were clean, and staff were good, but there was no air conditioning anywhere, in the rooms or the restaurant. They just relied on floor fans. Really not good with the summer we've had. Plenty of parking spaces, but no EV charge points."
The Beaches Guest House
"My grandparents had a wonderful stay at this guest house. The staff were incredibly attentive and thoughtful towards my grandparents, taking the time to understand and accommodate their needs. Their kindness and care really made a difference and helped them feel comfortable and well looked after. My grandma especially said, “The staff were very charming!” — which says it all. 😊 Thank you to the whole team for making their stay so welcoming and enjoyable. We truly appreciate your kindness and would happily recommend you to others."
The Hope Hotel
"Location was a guest house in the street next to the hotel. Actually very comfortable and away from the high street. Felt very safe. Just a weekend break with my daughter. Wouldn't recommend a week in Southend but a weekend is perfect. Great staff very friendly easy check in/out I recommend for a cheap little weekend away its perfect."
The Palace Hotel
"Family room was big, lovely view, very clean"
