"The staff were very helpful. All seemed somewhat multi-lingual and it was easy to communicate with them, whether it was arranging for a transfer to the airport or figuring out the best way into town. "Staff was the best, very attentive and most of the time working. Only thing I can say is the room posting are a bit misleading, double bed in just a queen bed and the room does not have central air (common for the island) overall spectacular experience. 4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Palau

  1. Book for the cheapest times: Visiting Palau on a budget is ideal during January to March, when hotel prices are more affordable and may drop further, offering great value for money. A stay of at least 4 to 5 days is recommended for exploring key landmarks, historical sites, and cultural attractions, including windsurfing, kitesurfing, the port, ferry rides, island tours, surfing, marina visits, boating, coffee experiences, and fishing. This makes for an attractive, budget-friendly option for travellers seeking both affordability and a rich cultural experience.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover cheap deals to Palau, head to the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals section on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted hotel rates as your travel date approaches. Consider activating email alerts or push notifications to stay informed about flash sales and special last-minute promotions, ensuring you don’t miss any chances to save. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, helping you find the best options. With these features, you’re more likely to be the first to know about available rooms or any price drops, making your last-minute getaway easier to book.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates could assist you in finding a more favourable rate for your stay in a Palau hotel. If you're in search of distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and may offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. Should the price be on the higher side, we can suggest alternative dates that might help you find a more appealing rate.
  4. Consider your location: Hotels near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Palau's excellent public transport links, you might discover a more affordable independent hotel a little further out that remains well connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, you can often find excellent value for money. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
