The staff at the hotel were so helpful and caring. They were top notch. The thing that was annoying and keeping us up at night was the subway. It was so loud in our room which was on the 5 th floor and window towards the subway. The other thing that kept us up was there was a bar across the street so a whole bunch of drunk people screaming and hollering outside anywhere from 12 AM to 3 AM..

We would 100% stay here again. It is half a block from the subway stop so it was super easy to get to places we wanted to go to. They let us store our luggage until it was check-in time. The lobby was nice, clean and welcoming with coffee and tea available. A few things you will notice and want to deal with: 1. It’s right by the subway stop! Bring earplugs and you’ll be fine. 2. There isn’t conditioner in the shower - only shampoo. That’s it! We all thought it was a nice option.

Despite the carpet being a bit tattered, you can tell they really do clean the rooms well. The property was tidy from the lobby, through the hallways and to my room. Bed is a bit on the firmer side so a plus if that’s your preference. It’s a few steps from a great deli and a hop across the street to the J train (straight shot from JFK if you wanna save $75 on uber). The staff was amazing. At one point I was even having trouble with my key and one of the cleaning staff stopped and got it fixed immediately for me. Honestly, great bargain for a New York stay. I’d return.

If you look at the location, we weren't expecting anything more than a 3 star hotel and that's what this is. No real extra amenities, the rooms are old and outdated. Our tv didn't work and they replaced it the next day with a Smart TV, which was great (the other tv just had basic cable which no one watches anymore). The bathroom door's handle was falling off and the room was a bit run down but clean. The staff was amazing, everyone was very polite and helpful, going out of their way to get us a quieter room. Our requests were met immediately and even the handyman was pleasant and friendly. Customer service at this location is A++++. Hotel itself is shabby and is basically just a place to sleep.

The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. There was no breakfast available as advertised, which was part of the reason I booked this hotel. If your room faces Broadway, the J train will be running directly in front of your room, which is loud. This wasn’t a problem for me, but something to note.
