I stayed in what is called a “cozy queen.” The room was perfect for me traveling by myself, and would work well for a couple.
The room and private bath were clean and comfortable.
I am rating the Whitlock a “3”, because there was no staff onsite, and no written instructions provided in lieu of. Had there been one or the other, I would leave a higher rating.
I stayed one night, during the second week in October. My room was on the third floor (no elevator that I saw), and it had been a very warm day. So, my room was hot. When I went to turn on the AC, my friends let me know that they were told the day prior that the AC units were off for the season—not even the fan was available. Okay, so I went and opened my windows, and discovered that there were no screens. I was worried about bugs and thankful that didn’t have children with me.
As far as onsite staff, even at checkout, there was only a sign indicating that the employee was away somewhere else.
I am glad I was only there for a short stay.
The location was great, in downtown Lenox.
