An amazing setting for this lovely hotel with newly refurbished rooms and a welcoming and friendly staff. We stayed one night which was perfect for our trip to Eilean Donan castle only a ten minute drive away.

The night staff was very friendly and let us arrange a late arrival. We had a family comfort room and it was great for two adults and two teens. We all slept quite well after a day of ferry, hiking and driving from Isle of Harris. Location was so peaceful. The breakfast was delicious --although our server kept saying how "finnicky" the chef was when we made small requests or alterations. Definitely would stay here again and recommend to anyone!

This is a first class hotel. Our dog friendly room was the best we had in a 2 week tour of Scotland. Spacious, comfortable and well furnished. Setting is superb and the outside seating in the garden was perfect for relaxing and meeting people as well as watching the sun go down. Worth the price for an excellent stay. Oh and the herd of goats that visit the hotel in the evening and 1st thing on a morning are a must see!

Cosy stay, delicious food!

We enjoyed our stay very much and had a view of the loch and surrounding area which was a plus! The food at both dinner and breakfast was delicious and the service was great despite the two young girls at the bar being rushed off their feet. Slight discomfort for me on the bed and sleep due to random plumbing noises but I am a light sleeper so may not effect anyone else. Overall we would recommend.

Wonderful stay - perfect place!

Lovely room and stay! I had room one and loved it! Bathroom is great, only thing that would have been better is some hair conditioner available as well as I forgot to pack some. Room was wonderful, in love with the circle windows and windows and window bench! Bed was super comfy and perfect. Honestly I could just talk about everything being perfect! Had dinner downstairs - food and service was great :)

Check in from the bar gave me wrong 1st impression for the room rate we paid. Staff were friendly, and took care of our shower concerns. Dinner, Hob Goblin, wisky, and Scottish breakfast were all wonderful. The stairs going up to room 14 is narrow from the bar entry, presented challenges for check-in luggage size. The room got a great view. Shower pressure was weak. Our room could use a remodel. The reception area was nice, maybe that part of hotels has remodeled rooms. It's a decent stay, but I expected more with the rate we paid.

So Beautiful

Wonderful stay! The only confusing part was check-in as no signs for check-in were visible. Apparently, check-in is at the bar in the pub, which is pretty standard here. But, I was unaware as I’m not from the UK. Also, dinner reservations needed to be made both nights. The owner was super proactive (and nice) and went ahead and booked us presumptively for the first night. That was a godsend! So, I recommend that Hotels.com list this on the confirmation email so that visitors know to do this before arriving. The staff were so kind and helpful. Also, the room was a great size and the entire hotel was super clean. The food was excellent and exceeded our expectations. Also, the view of the loch was gorgeous. And, there was coffee shop in the parking lot (The Wee Bun House). I was pumped! I love coffee a latte! :-) Overall, beautiful lodge and sights. So glad we stayed here. Will come back again when we go back to The Highlands.

Great stay. The only issue was the TV had no digital signal, meaning no free view. It did, however, provide a Roku box, with access to Amazon Prime, Apple TV+, Netflix as well as BBC iPlayer, ITV X, C4 etc.
