Last minute airport stay

Due to flight issues we needed a decent hotel close to the airport at the last minute. This Novotel more than lived up to the billing as the rooms were very nice and public areas excellent. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. All round a good find.

It was much better value than Premier Inn and only minutes from the A1 with plenty of parking. The only thing that let it down was that the cleanliness was a bit substandard. In particular the carpet was not properly cleaned.

We stayed here one weekend when we wanted a night away, this hotel was lovely and had great parking, it was in a good area with shops nearby, we got a taxi into town which was only £10 however on the way back it was more at rush hour on a sat night. In a quieter area if you don’t want to be right in the middle of town. Great spacious rooms room.

Love this hotel

I rested really well and we desperately needed after 15 hours travelling by plane and waiting times, jet lag etc. So it was comfy and clean, I loved the toiletries by rituals which is one of my fav brands, and they left a small gift box of rituals products which I was very happy about it. The staff was really friendly and helpful and the buffet breakfast was very nice and had good variety. We felt refreshed with a bath, I only was missing a hairdryer but we will definitely go back to Novotel near Newcastle Airport
