    Nice hotel 4star

    The hotel is lovely, price is more then what you expect, pictures abit miss leading due to making the room look bigger. The view was nice from 10floors high, the food is great and restaurant. When I did 1st booked I booked double room didn’t see it was twin room, when i arrived the person on the front desk changed it and charge me a extra 264 for double bed, even know I already paid 294 for 1 night twin room, I paid as I thought it was pay on day looking at my hotel account I already paid for room in advance and at the end of the stay front desk give me a refund of the 264. Overall the hotel is lovely from top to bottom. Highly recommend

    Overall my experience was really good. However I had booked to pay at the hotel on arrival in their currency. I am an overseas visitor using US$s in my home country. I do have a Sterling AMEX but unfortunately the hotel was not accepting AMEX as they were not set up as yet to do so as they only open for two weeks. This resulted in me having to use my US$ card at a horrendous exchange rate and as a result my cost for my stay increased by approx. 50%. Perhaps it would be a good idea for the hotel to put a notice on their site that they are not yet accepting AMEX. If it is already there I missed it and my apologies if that is the case. Also the weather was not great on arrival with heavy rain so it would have being nice to enjoy dinner in GINO’s but again unfortunately there was no tables available as the restaurant was fully booked. Perhaps a note on the site recommending restaurant bookings in advance of travel would also be a good idea. We did eat in the restaurant on our second night and the food was amazing. The staff are brilliant friendly courteous. The hotel was spotless but as it’s only two weeks old that is what you would expect and I do hope they maintain the standard.

    WORST HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED IN

    So after being given a 3pm check in time we got to the hotel to be told "we have had to move the check in time to 4pm" we left and came back a 4pm. The queue to check in was huge and went all the way down past the hotel bar. After being in the queue for 3 hours we was told it was due to house keeping we couldn't have our room! After the 4 hour wait in total we finally got to our room and as we was settling in we had someone let themselves into our room with 2 other guests who were looking for a available room! The employee said "oh just checking your rooms ok" which we found out after is a lie as they had double booked our room so was just searching a free room for these other guests! I was then told by the desk we owed £180 for the room which i had already paid she just didn't bother to check. The bathroom light didn't work so the toilet was pitch black. We had a kettle but no cups or cutlery. Shower didnt have any hot water and leaked from the under the shower door. The room had a TV but no remote control so couldn't even turn it on. Overall this was the WORST hotel i have ever stayed in and i have stayed in hostels in the past! At £250 night i wouldn't dream of going back.
