I had a very disappointing experience during my stay at Lulu Guldsmeden in Berlin. Due to problems with our original room, we were moved to another room. Reception informed us that we had until 18:00 to move our belongings. However, when I returned around 17:30 to collect the remaining items, the room had already been cleaned by housekeeping. Several pieces of my clothing, including a jumpsuit and underwear, were missing. I reported this to reception three times during my stay and was told that nothing had been found. As this happened late on a Saturday and I only had clothing for my two-day stay, I had to spend the evening urgently looking for replacement clothes before the event I had travelled to Berlin to attend. This meant cancelling my dinner plans and I did not even have time to eat that evening. Only after I had left the hotel did I receive a message that my belongings had been located in the hotel’s lost-and-found system and that they had been registered as items I had “left behind”. The hotel later offered to return the items, but declined to cover the replacement clothing I had needed to purchase that evening. Given the circumstances and the inconvenience caused, I had hoped the situation would have been handled differently. I hope the hotel will reconsider this and resolve the situation fairly.

Lulu Gulsmeden is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful but big city! The location is often too far out from most tourist attractions and there isn’t much shops etc on the same road. Staff were nice and friendly for the most part. Hotel was beautifully decorated and our family loft had a swing which was a nice surprise. I would stay here again!

Nice and sustainable - good for kids!

We (2 adults, 2 kids 10 and 12) had a great stay at Lulu Guldsmeden. Potsdamer Strasse is a nice road close to Potsdamer Platz, bus and U-bahn. We liked the 4-bed room with two beds at the Attic. Breakfast was not included, but worthy and a nice buffé with something for everyone. The daily clearing of the room was perfect! The staff is also always very helpful with a smile! It is quiet between the rooms and even though there were other children and School classes staying at the same time, we slept peacefully. They do not offer lunch or dinner, but has a good bar in the evenings. I like their sustainable touch and can regimens it!

Hot and Noisy

We stayed in a large room with the family directly over the street. There’s no air conditioning so we had to sleep with the windows open and it was the loudest experience of any city I’ve ever been to. Sirens, yelling, buses, traffic, at one point we heard a huge fight break out in the middle of the night and another night we heard someone in so much distress we thought they were being murdered. Did not sleep a wink and need a vacation after that vacation.

It’s like a little soho in nyc. Loved the green philosophy at the hotel, upstairs guests should be reminded to keep windows shaded so room doesn’t overheat. Pls treat your cleaning staff better not once I saw a smile on their face nor welcomed the day appropriate greetings. Loved the breakfast buffet. I will definitely b back.

Das Zimmer (Loft) war sehr schön, allerdings für die Ausstattung zu klein. Der Preis für das Frühstück entspricht nicht der Leistung. Den Cappuchino musste man extra bezahlen, was ich als Unverschämtheit empfand. Warme Speisen wurden nicht aufgefüllt, obwohl der Koch direkt am Buffett stand. Die Brötchen werden in zwei Hälften geschnitten präsentiert, wodurch sie an den Schnittflächen austrocknen. Schade, die sind nämlich ausgesprochen lecker.

Das Frühstück war doch sehr bescheiden für den Preis! Kaffeespezialitäten kosten extra. Die Betten waren extrem durchgelegen. Das personal war sehr nett und engagiert. Der Innenhof mit seinen Sitzgelegenheiten war sehr schön, störte aber nachts sehr bei relativ leisen Gesprächen.

Ett utmärkt hotell med mysigt rum med loft. Perfekt för barnbarnet. Gungan i rummet uppskattades. Frukosten var otroligt dyr så det blev frukost på ett ställe 50 meter bort. Trafiken var störande men det får man räkna med i en storstad.
