There are a lot of good bakeries around but we were served ultra processed cheap bread. No jams or butter on the table. It just lacked a few touches which would have made it very good.

Fabulous property set behind secure gates with onsite parking. Close to The Wine Tram and walking distance to Franschhoek. Lovely contemporary spacious bedroom with modern sculptures and beautiful pictures. Lovely comfortable bed with fluffy towels and nice toiletries. Great stay

We had a fantastic stay at Residence Vive La Vie. We were warmly greeted upon our early arrival and were very happy that they were able to have our room ready (after a very long flight). Our cottage was spacious and well appointed, and the bed was very comfortable. Location is about a 15 minute walk to the center of town, very convenient. The breakfast was phenomenal, fresh cut fruit and made to order dishes prepared by some talented chefs every day. Highly recommend!

All the rooms are different but all are good-sized. Our room has double bathroom sinks, a large shower, a chaise lounge in addition to two armchairs. Very comfy. The breakfasts are excellent! Their so-called mini-continental is big enough to fill up most people: fresh baked muffin, croissant, fresh fruit, cheeses& meats, yogurt, juice, coffee. But you can also add eggs Benedict, omelette, shashuska, French toast— all included! We were in the winter but I can see how nice it’d be to enjoy their pool and gardens in the summer. Highly recommend.
