Great place
It was just great 1. The breakfast is incredible - you don’t need to eat for the rest of the day 2. The staff are so helpful 3. It made my ski trip distinctly Japanese 4. I loved the whole straw mats, futons and onsens

2/10 Poor

Avoid this place
Tiny rooms. Shared toilet not cleaned regularly- skid marks still in toilet. They don’t tell you that the shared bathroom is completely public (you are have a shower next to someone else completely naked) and you can’t bring in your own shampoo/conditioner etc. Loud noises early in the morning. Horrible place and not worth the price at all- it’s like a hostel. Worse even

Great location and facilities, traditional beds are very hard on sore muscles after snowboarding, but would still stay again for sure.

Quaint little hotel in great location. Onsen was a nice perk and usually empty! Staff was very friendly and helpful with all my questions! Traditional Japanese mat style room

Everything is clean. Friendly staff. Breakfast included was a major bonus, and the food was delicious. Onsen was very nice and clean. My only negative is the beds are slightly hard.

6/10 Good

Great location and great service. Older property in need of repairs and maintenance. Breakfast was not appetizing for us, so we did a light breakfast in our room. Price was much better than other hotels in area. Overall, it was OK.

Traditional hotel. Friendly staff, nice onsen, and decent breakfast. The one recommendation I would make is that there is only one light in the bedroom and it is a harsh fluorescent light. Perhaps a lamp or a less harsh light.

Would stay Shaun
Affordable and accommodating friendly staff. Free daily buffet breakfast. Spacious room considering japan. Older hotel, but clean. Convenient location. Has coin operated laundry room, bring your own detergent.

Nice stay in the heart of Niseko
Location wise, you cannot be in any other central place other than this hotel If you are looking for that traditional japanese hotel and somehow feels authentic, go for this one. But if you have a more modern taste, skip this. We booked a japanese room it can fit 3 adults. But a friend booked a western room and it feels smaller Plus, we had an amazing view of a mt Yotei!

6/10 Good

Old hotel with minimal updates. Staff was not very friendly nor did they seem interested in being of service. No late checkout, no early check in, no ability to get early breakfast. Rooms are run down and very dated. However they command same prices as surrounding properties that are much newer. Onsen was good though. I would not stay here again
Christian, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

Stayed 4 nights in main building room. Majority of rooms have no normal window glass, feels like sleeping in a cave. Breakfast quality is one of the few positive aspects, but starts too late (7:30) to be at the lift on time. 15 minutes queuing for breakfast every day in a massive line. Onsen is a nice place. Unfortunately, showers are only available in the onsen, which is announced to be open only from noon to 9pm. Rooms are poorly sound proof between rooms and towards corridor. We will come back to Hokkaido but for sure not to this place.

6/10 Good

The mattress and pillow gave me a back and neck pain. 200 meters walk downhill to chair Lift was acceptable. 500 meters walk uphill to welcome center was a torture especially with luggage. Should have provide shuttle like most other hotel in the area.

Will stay here every visit to Niseko
The hotel is old (only in the sense that I can tell it was established before the nearby newer hotels) but in no way dirty or felt unclean. The staff is great. The breakfast options are fantastic. It's very close to the base of the slopes - best location by all the restaurants as well. Highlight was the on-site bath - had an indoor and outdoor hot bath and there was never anyone there and I went every morning and night. Perfect way to start day and end after skiing. Hotel also provides slightly discounted tickets (~$3 per day) compared to the tickets at the base if you get all day pass, but I only got 5-hour/8-hour passes so didn't need it. Ski storage space is also ample and has good heated facilities. Overall I didn't expect much but I am so so satisfied. The Japanese style rooms were good and spacious as well. Had a wonderful view of the mountain.

4/10 Fair

Dirty and poor service
Really one of the worst hotels, I've stayed in my entire life... booked one Japanese style room, was extremely dirty, dusty tables like hadn't been cleaned in months, bedding not changed, they have policy no cleaning unless you stay more than 3 days... then changed rooms, that room same thing the sheets appeared not to be changed as they had hairs in the bed... and there was no prioritizing the room being cleaned like I asked multiple times before 2pm, we weren't new guests, simply changing rooms, room wasn't clean even after waiting so then they had to come and actually clean the sheets... half of the front counter staff were not friendly, ask a question just say they don't know, don't try to find an answer for you... some were friendly but that was the exception... definitely don't recommend this hotel, $300 to sleep on the floor in a dirty room, it's insane really, they can only get away with it since niseko is expensive ski town!
Christine, 3-night trip

6/10 Good

The good thing about this hotel is about 5 minutes walk down to hirafu intersection or the Ace family chair Lift. I saw some other comments saying you can ski in ski out but I asked the hotel staff and she said you have to walk down. For the facilities , you get what you paid for. Nothing fancy. The biggest problem is walking up the hill to the hirafu welcome center. (Bus station) it's a 500 meter , 10 minutes Abe a 2200 steps walk........with all your luggage , ski and boots. OMG, that was the biggest workout of the week. (Most hotel on the hill provide shuttle) Taxi wouldn't come because of the short distance. I WILL NOT STAY HERE AGAIN UNLESS THEY PROVIDE SHUTTLE TO AND FROM WELCOME CENTER. I'm too old for this

6/10 Good

Not really ski in and out resort
It wasn’t so much of a ski in and out. We had to walk up to niskeo prince and exit via their ski in and out and we had to come down via maples niskeo to walk downhill. Otherwise with the snowboard and boots, the legs are almost giving way. We expected literally ski in and out like maples or niskeo prince next door. Breakfast buffet was alright and acceptable quality. It is warm and cosy and good view of snow. We would have rebook our previous niskeo prince if we knew it wasn’t a ski in and out. The snowboards locker area doesn’t have safety features and if you’re bringing own board, it would be better to book a place with valet or Locker like next door hotels. Our boards were new and we didn’t want to lose it. We lugged it everywhere . Only benefit: it’s right opposite hirafu 118 convenient store for all hauls and midnight buying of bread or noodles. The ramen store is directly opposite too! Yummy food! Go early for ramen as the queue is insane during winter! The hotel is overrall well ventilated and cosy and the staff are polite and welcoming.
