Met our minimum requirements, a place to shower and sleep. A case where you truly get what you pay for here, "breakfast" is minimal fare: A waffle maker, muffins, cold cereal, yogurt, basic coffee w/ powdered creamer, you're better off eating elsewhere. Location to the Chiefs stadium was the biggest deciding factor to choosing this hotel chain. Rooms were surprisingly clean and comfortable, with daily housekeeping for new towels, etc. The common areas were less than satisfactory in cleanliness, we didn't use the laundry amenities and wouldn't have if we need to. All-in-all we agree with the majority of reviewers here, it's subpar and we definitely WOULD NOT stay here again, but were pleasantly surprised with the presentation/comfort of our room.

The beds were comfortable and the shower was nice. The floor was dirty, though -- walking barefoot and then getting into the white sheets made that clear. There were dead June bugs by the door inside in the morning, which was weird. It was fine to just crash there for a night, but could've been better.

The property is well located to the downtown area. It is filled with classic old buildings with plaques outlining their use when the town was more vibrant. There are several restaurants withing an easy walk of the hotel, as well as a Taco Bell (half a block), an Arby's (about a block) and a MacDonalds (about two blocks). The local restaurants include a barbeque pit; an italian/pizza joint; a sports bar; and a chinese restaurant. There is also a local bakery within about two blocks.
