Cool old rooms in a historic location
Wonderful historic location with lots to explore and see. A bit inconvenient that you are not housed near the reception, but a 7 minute walk away. At least we could just leave the key when we checked out, so we didn't have to return to the reception. Our rooms were in an old villa with amazing interior that felt 200 years old - very cool.

Beautiful, historic, but with a few misses.
Our trip was probably not well matched to this hotel (which isn't their fault at all!). We checked in close to 9pm at the hotel restaurant as the front desk was closed. We missed out on some of the fine attractions of the hotel like the expansive sitting rooms in the main lodging building. Room was exactly as pictured. Plenty of space, nice lake view (the next morning when we got up), excellent breakfast buffet. The luxury beds were too soft for my liking. I get that they're meant to offer gentle conforming support, but I felt like more than one night might have not gone well for my back. Floors are very old wood, so they're noisy. More nice carpets like what was under the desk, over where we put our feet down at night would be a big improvement. We woke each other up trying to tiptoe to the bathroom in the night. Creak-creak!
Our room was on the top floor of this historic building. Note that check in happens about 50 meters down the way.

Avoid
Some of the buildings are wonderful, but management is awful. You’ll have to run up to a quarter to get to your room since the hotel buildings are scattered around the whole town. You have one key and you need it even to enter your building, difficult if you are two persons. Ten minutes walk for breakfast. Ten more to go to the gym, not open though, go to reception, oh you need a code, another five minutes walk. Ugly rooms. No phone on the rooms, if you want to get a feel for the absurdity of living here, call their number. You must wait five minutes more just to get someone answering. And the dinner… 350 kronor for a single course and it’s like an appetizer. What a shame.

Fullständigt unikt!
Ett helt unikt hotell som är värt ett besök för alla! Bodde i Nunneklostret med närhet till restauranger och reception. Mycket bekvämt men ändå väl avvägt. Litet målarfärg kommer snart behövas dock. Badrum bra. Reception och frukostpersonal utmärkt. Vi valde att boka restaurangen separat för att själva kunna välja fritt från menyn. Fick lite senare middagstid än önskat, lite oklart varför då det inte var särskilt fullt. Förrätter och dryck kom i normal takt men huvudrätterna glömdes tyvärr bort, först efter en timmes väntan fick vi frågan om vi fått våra huvudrätter och när de sedan kom efter ytterligare 15 minuter var klockan närmare 22 och vi var lite för trötta för att orka äta så vi betalade direkt till och gick. Personalen bad naturligtvis om ursäkt för den långa väntan men det var inte något som gav mersmak.

Vid incheckningen fick vi ingen uppgift om frukosttider och inte heller någon fråga om vi behövde en parkeringsbiljett. Det fick vi ta reda på själva och ordna när receptionen var obemannad. Tycker att kl 16 är en mycket sen första incheckningstid när man dessutom har utcheckning redan kl 10 dagen därpå. Vid frukosten saknade vi vanlig yoghurt och fil, fanns laktosfri turkisk yoghurt att äta i mycket små skålar. Frukostbuffen var mycket bra i övrigt.

Intressant historia!
Ett genuint gammalt hotell med intressant historia. Miljön är från en svunnen tid. Tända jus i varje vrå, bra bar och trevlig personal! Maten var fantastisk, vi hade inget paket utan valde från á la carte menyn och...mmmm.... så gott!

Fin liten stad
Vi bodde i en byggnad som ligger 7min promenad från frukost, restaurang och reception. När det är snöstorm så känns det lite avsides. I den byggnaden som vi bodde i, finns inget annat än rummen. På sommaren är det säkert inga problem att ta promenaden, bara man har i åtanke att det blir mycket fram och tillbaka om du ska hämta något på rummet t ex. Munkklostret ligger närmast all service.
