De Vere Cotswold Water Park
"Excellent stay at De Vere Cotswolds Water Park. Brilliant food and comfy beds"
easyhotel Oxford
"Why is there bathroom in reception? Makes no sense to me. Small room but it’s what you pay for and does the job for a night"
DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon
"Good business hotel. The room was comfortable and the breakfast buffet good. Ideal hotel for travelling the M4."
Queens Hotel Cheltenham
"AC was not very good, fortunately it wasn’t too hot when we visited, but would imagine a heat wave would be tough. Hotel was nice, showing its age in places. Staff were helpful and friendly!"
Wild Thyme & Honey
"Ive stayed in nicer rooms , ive ate in nicer bars but ultimately its the people that make a hotel. And the people at wilde thyme and honey are fantastic. A special shout out to Izy who couldn't do enough to help. The rooms are cosy and warm with thoughtful touches like pillow spray and a spot of sloe gin which was beautiful, the on site restaurant/ pub was lovely with a great drinks selection. The pantry is a useful addition for extra bits that you may need during your stay. One genuine gripe is that the car park is dangerously dark after dark. There is no lighting at all. All in all it was great. I would return for sure."
The Store
"The front desk was extremely accommodating!"
Holiday Inn Swindon by IHG
"The room was adequate. The decorate and carpet need refreshing. Just a shame the swimming pool has restried opening times, closed for swimmi lessons. apart from that it is positioned well near the M4 and quiet."
Mollie's Oxford
"Would rate higher, but the app is too big for the screen"
Leonardo Hotel Cheltenham
"Lovely size room and easy M5 access"

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Swindon
- Book for the cheapest times: Swindon offers an affordable escape on a budget, particularly during January, February, and December when hotel prices may drop, ensuring lower prices for travellers. For a well-rounded experience that encompasses landmarks, history, and culture — including attractions such as small town charm, business heritage, friendly people, festivals, football, recreation, archaeology, and a bar — a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended, promising great value for money.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals to Swindon, begin by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted hotel rates as your travel date approaches. To stay informed about flash sales and exclusive promotions, consider enabling email alerts or push notifications from Hotels.com. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you’re more likely to see the best options. This way, if rooms become available or prices drop, you’ll be among the first to know, making booking a last-minute getaway easy.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate due to various factors, including the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Being flexible with your travel dates could help you find a better deal on your stay in a hotel in Swindon. For those seeking something a bit different, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised experience and occasionally offer better value. When you make a booking with Hotels.com, we'll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher side, we may suggest more affordable dates that could help you secure a more favourable rate.
- Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be pricier, but thanks to Swindon's excellent public transport connections, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that remains well connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often great value to be had. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more genuine and budget-friendly experience.
