Brasov Old Town
Brasov Old Town whisks you back to medieval times with its Gothic spires and baroque facades. The Council Square buzzes with energy while cobblestone streets lead to hidden treasures. The towering Black Church stands as a testament to Saxon heritage, and the nearby Tampa Cable Car offers spectacular mountain views. Climb the White and Black Towers for panoramic vistas of red-tiled roofs against Carpathian backdrops. Cosy taverns serve traditional Romanian dishes alongside Saxon-influenced fare throughout the pedestrian-friendly district. The highly walkable historic centre restricts vehicles, making exploration a pleasure. Boutique hotels in converted medieval buildings offer stone walls and wooden beams with modern comforts.
Brasov City Centre
Brasov City Centre wraps you in medieval charm with its pedestrian-friendly cobblestone streets and fairy-tale buildings. Council Square buzzes with travellers soaking up the Saxon architecture while the towering Gothic Black Church commands attention with its massive stone walls. Wander through narrow lanes to discover museums tucked into colourful baroque buildings or climb Tampa Mountain for sweeping views of red-tiled roofs below. Traditional Romanian restaurants serve hearty dishes alongside Saxon specialities in cosy taverns with medieval décor. Boutique hotels in restored historic buildings offer modern comforts within ancient walls. The compact centre is best explored on foot, with local buses connecting to outer districts when you're ready to venture beyond.
Centrul Vechi
Centrul Vechi treats history buffs to a medieval wonderland where cobblestone streets wind through Romania's Gothic masterpiece. The towering Black Church spires and pastel baroque facades around Council Square set the scene for travel magic. Narrow Saxon streets create a 14th-century maze that's best explored as golden lamplight bathes ancient walls and towers. The area boasts excellent walkability with car-free zones throughout the compact historic core. Traditional Romanian cuisine awaits in atmospheric cellars while boutique hotels in converted medieval buildings offer modern comforts wrapped in centuries-old charm. Most attractions stay open from 9am-6pm with restaurants serving until late.

Șchei
Schei's narrow cobblestone streets transport you to medieval Romania with each step you take. The First Romanian School Museum showcases the nation's earliest printed books in a charming 16th-century building. Romanian Orthodox churches with painted facades punctuate quiet residential lanes where locals live much as they have for generations. The area offers an authentic glimpse into Romanian daily life away from tourist crowds. Family-run restaurants serve hearty traditional dishes like ciorba and mici at budget-friendly prices. Most visitors walk the 15-20 minutes from Old Town Brasov since the medieval streets limit vehicle access. Guesthouses and family-run pensions in converted historic homes provide authentic accommodation with personal host interaction.
Centrul Nou
The Centrul Nou neighbourhood offers attractions, such as Afi Brasov and Telecabina.

Casa Wagner Brasov
"Great hotel and great location. Highly recommend."
Belfort Hotel
"Hotel staff were very accommodating and friendly. You can have breakfast at the on-site resteraunt and there is a bar downstairs that is easy to acess and staff were very friendly there.A small lounge is also right next the bar. Rooms were very nice and clean, shower was also very clean. The room has a mini bar with lots of different options. The hotel is just a ten minute walk to the city center and the Black Church. There are plenty of resteraunts there or you can walk a short distance to others in the area. Uber will drive you to the hotel from the airport for around 8-10 US. I found both Uber drivers to be very friendly. The hotel is on the same side as the cable car going up the mountain and is anout a 20 minute walk. Lovely stay and will stay here again when I return."
Hilton Garden Inn Brasov
"Easy to find the employees were helpful. Made me want to come back"
Residence Central Annapolis
"great location. extremely hospital staff, they let us checked in hours early. Breakfast amazing."
Casa Monte Verde
"Charming place in a historical building, in the heart of old center of Brașov. There was no receptionist on site in the evening when we arrived, but the online check-in was very easy and the communication with the property was excellent. Most tourist attractions are within walkable distance, but the property does not have a designated parking. Street parking around the building is very limited and payable at a rate of 24 lei/ 24 hours. We rented a lovely 2 bedroom suite, which had a small fridge, very clean bathroom and complimentary coffee, water by the reception. Overall we were very happy with our stay and highly recommend it."
Radisson Blu Aurum Hotel, Brasov
"I had a wonderful two day state at the Radisson hotel in Brasov. The location was perfect and the service was excellent. Alexandru at the front desk was especially helpful and went out of his way to assist with questions about places to go, etc. and also to make sure I was aware of all of the amenities. I would definitely stay again."
Schuster Boarding House
"We come to Schuster every year when visiting Brașov, and it remains one of the best options in the city thanks to its location and intimate boutique feel. This year, however, we noticed a few changes. For the first time, we didn’t receive turndown service. The front desk mentioned it’s only offered around the holidays, which was surprising given our experience in previous years. We also ordered tea to the room and were charged for it, another first for us. The property is beautiful and well maintained, though daily housekeeping could be more thorough. Our bathroom floor had shoe marks that remained after the room was serviced. We also booked massages, which were very good, although my preference for pressure wasn’t adjusted during the treatment. International guests should also be aware that there is no draping during the massage, so expect to be partially undressed and uncovered throughout much of the experience. This may be common practice locally, but it can be surprising if you’re accustomed to the privacy standards of U.S. spas. Breakfast is good, but I’d love to see more local producers and higher-quality Romanian ingredients, giving guests an opportunity to experience local flavors. Overall, we still enjoy Schuster and will likely return, but as returning guests, the changes in service were noticeable this year."
