Downtown Delray Beach
Atlantic Avenue buzzes with tropical energy in City centre Delray Beach. Art lovers wander between galleries while beachgoers stroll just blocks from the shore. Historic buildings like the Mediterranean-style Colony Hotel stand alongside modern boutiques and pavement cafes. The Arts Garage and Delray Beach Market offer entertainment options when you're not splashing in the Atlantic. Dining options range from casual cafes to upscale bistros with fresh seafood dominating many menus. Most attractions sit within the walkable city centre core, with a free trolley connecting the beach to inland spots. Boutique hotels in restored historic buildings offer character-filled stays just steps from the action.

Pineapple Grove Arts District
Pineapple Grove Arts District flips the warehouse-to-art-space storey into something actually worth your time. Brick buildings burst with colour from wild murals while artists actually work in studios you can peek into. The Arts Garage hosts live shows that'll make you forget you're in a former industrial zone. Self-guided tours let you explore at your own pace without some tour guide breathing down your neck. Dining options range from farm-to-table spots to craft breweries where locals hang out after monthly art walks. Stay in boutique inns with creative vibes instead of cookie-cutter hotels. The compact district is super walkable, though you'll need wheels to hit the beaches two miles east.

Marina District
Delray Beach's Marina District delivers waterfront luxury with a side of Florida sunshine. Stroll along the Intracoastal promenades where million-dollar yachts bob in crystal waters while palm trees sway overhead. Atlantic Avenue beckons with upscale boutiques and art galleries that will make your credit card sweat. The Sandoway Discovery Centre offers a fascinating peek into marine life for curious minds of all ages. Dining here means fresh seafood with water views, where reservations are definitely your friend. Modern high-rise condos and holiday rentals dominate the accommodation scene, complete with resort-worthy pools and concierge service. Getting around is best done on foot or by renting a golf cart to zip between marinas and waterfront cocktail spots.

Delray Beach Shores
Delray Beach Shores invites you to kick back where sugar-white sand meets turquoise Atlantic waters. Oceanfront promenades wind past swaying palms and protected dune systems where sea turtles nest. Spend your days soaking up rays at Atlantic Dunes Park Beach, exploring Sandoway Discovery Centre, or strolling the scenic coastline with picture-perfect views. High-end beachfront condos and luxury resorts offer stunning ocean panoramas with full-service amenities. Upscale oceanfront restaurants serve fresh seafood while beachside cafés provide casual alternatives. Getting around is breezy with dedicated bike lanes and walkable beachfront areas, though having a car helps explore beyond the shore.

Lake Ida Shores
Lake Ida Shores delivers the Florida dream without the tourist crowds. This peaceful lakeside area gives you front-row access to boating, fishing, and serene water views. Take morning walks under sprawling oaks or spend afternoons at nearby Lake Ida Park with its fishing piers and picnic spots. City centre Delray Beach's attractions are just a short drive away. You'll need a car to get around this residential haven since public transit is limited. Dining means venturing to Atlantic Avenue's restaurant scene, but the tradeoff is worth it. Holiday rentals with private pools and boat docks make this quiet community perfect for travellers seeking authentic Florida living.

Learn more about Delray Beach
Forget the beach for a moment - Atlantic Avenue is where the real Delray magic happens. This vibrant main drag buzzes with art galleries, live music venues, and restaurants that locals fiercely debate. After gallery-hopping, head to Arts Garage where jazz and blues fill the night. The Morikami Museum offers tranquil Japanese gardens that feel impossibly far from Florida's typical attractions. When beach time calls, the free public beach awaits with powder-soft sand and surprisingly uncrowded shores. Kayak through mysterious mangrove tunnels where herons stand sentinel. The Spady Cultural Heritage Museum reveals stories often overlooked in this gentrified paradise. Come evening, The Avenue transforms into one of South Florida's best nightlife scenes - no Miami drive required.

The Ray Hotel Delray Beach, Curio Collection by Hilton
"Loved the room and staff was very accommodating"
Opal Grand Oceanfront Resort & Spa
"The Opal is our go to for staycations in Delray. Perfectly located on the corner of A1A and Atlantic. Directly across from the best beach in the area. Always a great experience."
Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Delray Beach I-95
"This place was pleasant, clean and comfortable most of all safe."
Hyatt Place Delray Beach
"Great option. Highly recommended!"
Berkshire on the Ocean
"Lovely place -- apartment could use major updating -- the grounds are far nicer than the room interiors; wish there was a lift from ground to second floor -- beware you are hauling everything up a flight and half of steps if you stay on top level; great communication and helpfulness from the staff; again, only wish they would update the interiors -- the location deserves a more thoughtful interior design."
Crane's Beach House Boutique Hotel & Luxury Villas
"Staff was excellent, stayed in a luxury villa and it was a comfortable room with kitchen and dishwasher but very small stove couldn’t cook much, very nice quiet pools, parking was always good, laundry room could be updated only 1 washer and dryer coin operated and no working AC in the room. It walking distance to beach and Atlantic Ave restaurants and bars so didn’t need to worry about driving and finding parking to have a nice day or night out. Would stay again definitely"
Courtyard by Marriott Delray Beach
"Really enjoyed the large room with 2 king beds. Check in was easy. We did have to pay for parking each night and there isn't that much parking available but somehow, we always found a parking spot. There was a scent of weed when exiting the elevator on several occasions which was annoying but the smell didn't permeate into our room so it wasn't a huge deal. The only real problem we had was that we went down to the food/bar area on our final morning to get something to eat. Shortly before our Uber was supposed to pick us up, I went back upstairs to get our bags out of the room and my key didn't work. I ran back downstairs to the front desk and they made me another key which also didn't work. I used the hallway phone to call down to the front desk and she said she'd send engineering up. I explained the urgency because the Uber was supposed to be there within 5 minutes. After seeing a couple of hotel employees sauntering down the hallway, I finally asked one if she was from engineering and she said she wasn't but that the guy's room was down at the end of the hall and she'd go get him. She continued sauntering down the hallway even after I explained the urgency. After a couple of more minutes the guy came down the hall to our room and was able to let us in. Fortunately, the Uber was about 10 minutes late so it didn't cost me anything except stress and sweat. I hope that was just an isolated incident. It was otherwise a fine stay."
Delray Breakers on the Ocean
"What a jewel this place by the beach. Walking distance to the little town where you can eat, walk, and shop. Place has all you need to decompress. It's feet away from the beach, very quiet, relaxing."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Delray Beach
- Book for the cheapest times: Visiting Delray Beach on a budget during August to October is highly recommended, as hotels may drop to lower prices during this time. For those seeking affordable travel, a stay of at least 3 to 4 days is ideal. During your visit, you can explore a range of attractions that highlight local landmarks, history, and culture. Enjoy the beach, partake in birdwatching, and take leisurely walks to appreciate the area's rich heritage through its nature, wildlife, dancing, lively music, bar scenes, and dining experiences. This period offers great value for money and remains a budget-friendly choice for travellers.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: For your trip to Delray Beach, you may discover discounted accommodations by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window section on Hotels.com. Should you be planning a spontaneous getaway, the Last-Minute Deals area may offer appealing options nearer your travel date. Furthermore, you're more likely to see attractive offers by enabling notifications on Hotels.com, which will inform you if rooms become available or prices drop. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool, available via the app, allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, helping you make an informed decision.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may differ depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and time of year, so being flexible with your dates might help you save on your stay in a Delray Beach hotel. For those seeking distinctive experiences, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised service and occasionally offer better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates appears to be above or below the average; if it seems higher, we may suggest more affordable dates to help you find a more appealing option.
- Consider your location: Hotels located near the city centre typically cost more, but thanks to Delray Beach's excellent public transport links, you might find a more affordable independent hotel further afield that remains well connected. For those wishing to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
