The historic railway station shows off ornate wooden pavilions while the night market fills streets with sizzling seafood and colourful crafts. You can stroll from temples to the iconic clock tower, then follow palm-lined streets straight to pristine beaches for swimming and sunset cocktails. Beachfront dining ranges from fresh seafood restaurants to night market stalls serving authentic pad thai. Choose between luxurious seaside resorts or charming boutique hotels in converted shophouses. The compact centre is perfect for exploring on foot, though songthaews and motorbike taxis make getting around a breeze.

Nong Kae
Nong Kae boasts pristine beaches where luxury resorts meet the sparkling Gulf of Thailand. Spend your days splashing at Vana Nava Water Park or browsing handmade treasures at the vibrant Cicada Market. Golf enthusiasts can tee off at Sea Pines or Suan Son courses, while beach lovers enjoy the uncrowded sandy stretches perfect for sunset strolls. Resort dining dominates with fresh seafood and international cuisine served with ocean views. Most accommodation offer upscale amenities like infinity pools and spa services. Though public transit is limited, resort shuttles and taxis make exploring Hua Hin's centre just 15 minutes away.
Khao Takiab
Khao Takiab blends beach bliss with cultural charm at every turn. The neighborhood's star attraction, Wat Khao Takiab temple, crowns a dramatic limestone hill where playful monkeys roam freely. Golden Buddha statues gleam against the azure sky while temple bells chime over crashing waves. After temple exploring, kick back on the uncrowded beach where fishing boats bob in turquoise waters. Beachfront seafood restaurants serve up fresh catches with stunning sunset views. Most travellers stay in the area's beachfront resorts with pools and tropical gardens. Getting around requires some planning – songthaews run to Hua Hin centre, while motorbike taxis help tackle the hill climbs.

Khao Tao
Khao Tao delivers the beach paradise you're craving without the tourist crush. Golden sands meet gentle waves at Khao Tao Beach while nearby Sai Noi Beach charms with pristine shorelines and traditional longtail boats. The serene Khao Tao Reservoir mirrors surrounding hills, creating the perfect backdrop for kayaking adventures. Trek through coastal mountains or simply soak up sun-drenched days along the uncrowded coastline. Beachfront seafood shacks serve the morning's catch with zesty Thai spices. Most accommodation feature Thai-style architecture—choose between boutique beachfront resorts or intimate guesthouses with local character. Having a hire car gives the most flexibility, though songthaews run to Hua Hin in about 20 minutes.

Bo Fai
Bo Fai offers a peaceful retreat from the busy tourist zones of Hua Hin. This authentic residential area centers around Wat Bo Fai, a monument worth visiting for cultural immersion. Low-rise buildings with tropical gardens create a genuine Thai atmosphere where travellers can experience local life. Morning sounds of cockerels and temple bells add to the charm of this quiet area. Local eateries serve affordable, home-style Thai cooking, with fresh seafood from nearby markets. Accommodation options include budget-friendly guesthouses with personal service. Though public transit is limited, motorbike taxis can get you to Hua Hin's beaches and attractions within 15 minutes.

iSanook Resort & Suites Hua Hin
"This is the finest hotel we have stayed at while in Thailand. This is low season so it was not crowded. Stayed an extra 2 nights for reduced price because occupancy was low. Weather was not always cooperative but some nice sunshine each day. It rained after being at the beach a couple of hours. The free hotel shuttle came early and waited for us. It seemed mgr at the front desk knew each guest personally. Also free shuttle to other locations in town"
Putahracsa Hua Hin
"What an amazing location - central to all that you need. The staff, pool and facilities were outstanding! To be honest we were so happy with our resort location, we never made it to the beachclub pool. We did have drinks at 350B a pop. We stayed in a Sandsky deluxe - couldn't fault the facilities. No direct access to the pool but it was so private, it was more often just us unlike the other 2 pools. Breakfast was great, staff were brilliant! We will be back! :)"

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Hua Hin
- Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable period to visit Hua Hin is during May, September, and November, when hotels may offer lower prices. A stay of at least 3 to 4 days is ideal for exploring the key landmarks, historical sites, and cultural attractions that the area has to offer, including romantic beaches, family-friendly environments, relaxing settings, golf courses, swimming spots, shopping areas, monuments, castles, and spas. This budget-friendly approach ensures great value for money, making it an attractive destination for those on a budget.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: When planning a trip to Hua Hin, you may discover hotel deals by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals section on Hotels.com, where discounted rates may be available nearing your travel date. To maximise savings, consider enabling email alerts or push notifications for flash sales and special promotions. The Smart Shopping tool, accessible via the app, allows travellers to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you're more likely to find the best option for your last-minute getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates could help you find a more affordable stay in a Hua Hin hotel. If you’re in search of something distinctive, boutique hotels might provide a more personalised experience and potentially better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If it turns out to be on the higher side, we can suggest alternative dates that may help you find a better deal.
- Consider your location: Hotels nearer to the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Hua Hin's excellent public transport links, you might find an independent hotel further afield that is more likely to be affordable while still being well connected. For those wishing to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money. Opting for these alternative destinations can provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
