Hyatt Regency Newport Beach

Hyatt Regency Newport Beach

10/10 Excellent
"A fantastic hotel for a family of 4 (kids aged 14 & 12). We stayed for 2 nights and wished it had been longer. A good location, a good pool (we only used the one near the gym) and rooms were fine for what we needed if the beds were a little narrow. The gym was decent and service and main hotel area was lovely. Would stay again."

"We had a great 2-night stay. Location is the best, enjoyed room 1. It is different, small, cozy and comfortable with lots of windows and mirrors. It is a corner room so windows on two walls, nice ocean view and breeze. Room has a table with 2 chairs so could eat breakfast and play cards while watching the beach happenings below. We had everything we needed. Just be aware of sheet sweeper early in the morning before 6am, comes by about 8 times. close up windows at night and use A/C so it won't be as loud."

"The bar turned into a college bar at night and the staff up top is aggressive we are a couple in our 40s and just went up to finish our night but it is not a classy or elegant vibe. You cannot enjoy the evening up top as a family or a couple or a small group of friends men were taking shirts off getting loud at the end it was not the right place for this but the hotel said it’s been a scene for locals lately"

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Newport Beach

  1. Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly time to visit Newport Beach is during January, February, and November, when hotel prices tend to be lower. For those keen to explore the area's landmarks, cultural sites, and beautiful natural scenery, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. Visitors can enjoy the stunning beaches, scenic islands, and captivating sunsets, as well as engaging in boating activities and strolling through lovely gardens. Additionally, Newport Beach offers a variety of dining and shopping experiences that provide great value for money, making it an ideal destination for those travelling on a budget.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: Newport Beach travellers may discover attractive offers by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window section on Hotels.com, where discounted hotel rates can be found. For last-minute bookings, consider checking the Last-Minute Deals area, which could reveal special promotions close to your travel date. By enabling alerts, you're more likely to see timely updates. Moreover, the Smart Shopping tool on the app assists in comparing hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you have the information needed for a well-informed last-minute getaway.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate due to various factors, including the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates may help you find better rates for your stay at a hotel in Newport Beach. If you're seeking a distinctive experience, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and can sometimes offer better value. When you make a booking through Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could offer more affordable options to assist you in finding a favourable deal.
  4. Consider your location: Hotels near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive; however, given Newport Beach's excellent public transport links, you might encounter a more affordable independent hotel located further afield that is still well connected. For those wishing to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
