8/10 Good
"We had another really enjoyable stay and would definitely stay here again. The hotel is exceptionally clean, modern and feels very new. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and our room was excellent, with a really comfortable bed that made for a great night’s sleep. The coffee station on each floor is a great idea, although I found it quite confusing to use. Having to go out into the corridor at all hours to get a drink also put me off using it, especially as the machine wasn’t particularly straightforward. The restaurant staff were friendly, but things did feel a little calamitous at times, which was also our experience last year. Hopefully this is something that can improve. One thing I was particularly pleased to discover was that the hotel accepts the Blue Light Card. Unfortunately, I didn’t find this out until my last drink of the evening, so it would be great if this could be made more obvious to guests on arrival. Overall, we had a great stay. The hotel is clean, comfortable and modern, and despite the few small issues, we will definitely be returning."

The Royal Lion Hotel

The Royal Lion Hotel

8/10 Good
"An historic building in the centre of Lyme Regis, 5 minutes from the beach, with parking. Our room had a fine view of the bay, was comfortable and clean, with a modern shower/toilet. The furniture was a mish-mash of old pieces, but it all worked. The building is old and rambling, with staircases (no lifts). Breakfast was good, the staff were willing but a bit inexperienced. Dinner in the restaurant was pretty good. Our vegetarian needs were well met. All-in-all, we had a pleasant short break in this town, the 'Pearl of Dorset'."

For those wishing to explore the town's rich landmarks, history and culture – including quaint bars, delightful dining spots, and scenic walking routes through charming small towns and gardens – a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is ideal to enjoy great value for money.
  2. By enabling email alerts or push notifications, you're more likely to see flash sales and special promotions. 3. Be flexible with dates: Prices may vary depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your dates could help you save on your stay at Seaton Hotel. For those seeking a distinctive experience, boutique hotels might offer a more personalised service and potentially better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will indicate if the price for your selected dates appears above or below the average. If the price seems higher, we may suggest alternative dates that could help you find a more attractive rate.
  4. Consider your location: Opting for accommodation closer to key attractions or city centres can provide convenience, but it often tends to come with steeper prices. For more budget-friendly options, consider hotels situated in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between cost and accessibility to the sites you intend to visit. You may also look into independent hotels located further afield, which are more likely to offer a more authentic and economical experience.
