"Excellent location for access to all Edinburgh has to offer. The hotel was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The bar staff were very amenable to our requests. I was a bit bemused by the check in and check out do it yourself terminals! However staff were available if required. We didn't have the hotel breakfast, however the dining room was busy. We turned left on exiting the hotel and went to a lovely little cafe instead. I'd recommend a stay here and would love to go back"

Roof top terrace is literally a terrace, you have to buy your very expensive drink from the bar and carry it yourself up to the roof terrace. "Read the reviews before we booked 2 rooms for 2 nights at over £1000, was skeptical about the buffet breakfast, room not being cleaned and the pool being closed, had stayed at another village hotel recently and had a great experience. The breakfast was ok, but could have been more choice and a bit better, the rooms were refreshed on our request, surprisingly the pool was closed for our entire stay, which was one the main reasons we booked this hotel, for the kids. The gym was nice. We paid a premium to stay in August, but not worth more than £150 per night in my opinion. Inc breakfast Hermine on reception was very nice."
