Ryan at the front desk was both patient and kind. The room was very clean. The lights outside shined through the curtains, but I felt safe as a woman alone. As a budget friendly motel, I was pleased. I would stay here again.

I think this was the cleanest place I have stayed out and the customer service was great. It may not have all the amenities that the larger hotels have, but it was a great stay and you can't beat the price.

Marginal place. It was clean, check-in good, Lots of pillows. Cheap. That’s the good news. Old and tacky decor, cheap mattress, duct tape holding shade together, no Kleenex, no hair dryer, noisy street, trains all night blowing their horns at every street crossing. Ugh. Wasn’t worth the money.

Room was very clean and bed comfortable. Parking was very convenient, right in front on the room. No amenities which was fine for me. I just needed a few hours sleep to continue on!

This is your typical motel, amenities are old but function well, room is clean, and parking is really nice. WiFi is in and out and a bit slow. Otherwise, great stay and will recommend for budget trip.

6/10 Good

The facility was very well maintained and clean. It is a well preserved and maintained 1920-30s era quaint motel. There is a very distinct lack of lighting in the room with NO lighting in the “kitchenette” area. The toilet paper holder is inset in the wall DIRECTLY BEHIND THE TOILET. Only a contortionist could acces it. The faucet in the kitchenette area sprays all over.

This motel was a basic old motor inn motel. Check in was quick and easy. It's not suitable for people with handicaps. The wifi doesn't work very well. It was clean and the beds were comfortable

Too close to road, shower head to low, but we are 6 feet tall. Last minute stay. But very clean.

The room was very nice and exceptionally clean. I am a Housekeeping Supervisor at a Quality Inn and two mom-and-pop hotels, so I can truly appreciate a well-maintained room. Everything was clean, fresh, and well taken care of. We really enjoyed our stay, and I have already recommended this place to my team. Great job to the housekeeping staff for providing such a clean and comfortable room—well done! 👏

This is a small town and not many options so we were pleased that the Sands was so nice and well kept.

The motel was old and run down, but it was clean.

It was a pleasant stay in a clean, sparingly yet comfortably appointed room. In its 'heyday' it was a very nice place with attractive and appealing architectural details. It is well maintained today and I, at 81 years of age, appreciate its vintage and comfort. I will visit again.

Fairly clean, beds were comfy, train blasted it's horn like a block away, very old.

Overall very happy with our stay. We came in only for one night. Room rate was reasonable. Room was clean and air conditioner worked great. It is an older motel, but kept up and felt safe. Would stay here again.

Room was nice and cozy, with forced hot air heating, that lead to a perfect nights sleep. WIFI is excellent. Good dining and breweries within walking distance.
