The Pirate Inn

The Pirate Inn

10/10 Excellent
"A wonderfully cozy pod with everything we needed for a comfortable stay! It was very quiet at night. Having the parking space right in front is super convenient. Location-wise, it’s about a 15-minute walk to the town center, with a bus stop right outside the pub. While breakfast isn't available, there are complimentary tea and coffee setup in the room. Highly recommended!"

The Queens Hotel

The Queens Hotel

8/10 Good
"Room was spacious and clean, but tired. Shower is a stand in a bathtub situation. Windows very dirty, and bed was a big, but needed a little TLC. Fine, but 2/3star at best. Breakfast was good, cooked breakfast very good. Service was impeccable. Bar service slow as the Batman appeared to be in the restaurant also. Accept this is Penzance, not Paris, so I’m satisfied, but not blown away, for over £200 a night."

"The staff were amazing - welcoming, friendly, cheerful, just lovely to be around. The food was amazing. The 4 cheese tortellini in particular was out of this world. The only issue I had was the striped carpet on the stairs. For some reason, it was really disorienting. I thought it was just me (I recently got new vari-focal glasses) but my husband thought the same."

"Excellent room with sea views. Bar and restaurant combined worked well. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Evening menu slightly limited. Staff friendly and helpful. Only downside was that our room was not made up on the Saturday. Reception apologetic and room made up for the rest of our stay. Would return"

Room was nice, and clean as was the bathroom..We didnt eat apart from taking some chips up to our room and they were good .Breakfast was really good. The Hotels.com app also features the Smart Shopping tool, which allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you're more likely to find an option that suits your needs should rooms become available or prices drop.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices may vary depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and time of year, so being flexible with your dates could help you save on your stay in a Penzance hotel. For travellers seeking unique experiences, boutique hotels might offer a more personalised setting and sometimes even better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates appears to be above or below average, and if it seems higher, we may suggest more affordable dates to help you potentially find a more appealing deal.
  4. Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Penzance's excellent public transport connections, you might discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that is still well connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often great value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations can provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
