A relatively new and immaculately clean hotel right next to the train station. Rooms are large and spacious. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Very convenient spot to catch major sights and to do some shopping at the Amu Plaza nearby. Note that there is no public bath or onsen, but that’s not why you would want to stay here. Overall a wonderful stay.

had a wonderful stay at dormy inn nagasaki! room was very spacious and clean, i quite appreciated the segregated toilet and shower. staff were all very friendly.
the highlight was the onsen — there's an indoor and outdoor section, both beautifully maintained, with free ice cream and probiotic drinks and a lovely manga library. there was also free late-night ramen at the restaurant but we didn't get to try that unfortunately.

Very convenient location. Right where all the shopping is at the door step. Near train and tram station too. Good choice for hotel. The only downside is that the standard room for double bed is very cram. Bed is against the wall. Toilet is a bit stinky. Smell of urine very strong. I think they do not wash or clean the toilet floor

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Nagasaki
Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable times to visit Nagasaki are January, June, and September, when hotel prices are generally lower. For those on a budget, a stay of at least 1 to 2 days is recommended to fully explore the city’s key landmarks and cultural attractions. During your visit, you can appreciate the rich history at various museums and historical monuments, enjoy the serene beauty of natural parks, and indulge in shopping at local markets. Don’t miss out on the vibrant atmosphere of Chinatown, the stunning temples, and the picturesque islands that surround the area. This trip offers great value for money, allowing you to experience the best of Nagasaki without overspending.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To uncover last-minute deals for hotels in Nagasaki, begin by exploring the Dealsopens in new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted rates as your travel date approaches. Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications to stay informed about flash sales and special promotions, helping ensure you don't miss any chances for great savings. Additionally, utilise the Smart Shopping tool via the app, which allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you're more likely to see the best options available. With these resources, you'll be well-equipped for a last-minute escape.
Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate depending on various factors, including the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so having some flexibility with your travel dates may help you find a more affordable stay in a Nagasaki hotel. For those in search of something distinctive, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised experience and, at times, greater value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could offer a better value.
Consider your location: Hotels near the city centre usually tend to be pricier, but thanks to Nagasaki's excellent public transportation links, you may find an independently run hotel further afield that is still well connected and more likely to be affordable. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
